For the past few days now I cannot use the enter button when typing a search query into google. I have to click the search button.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I had a problem a couple of times today when I entered a keyword phrase, once with quotes and the second time without quotes. On the second try, I was unable to click enter. I had to go to google's home page and was able to complete the search.
      I'm using Firefox.

Good to hear that I am not the only one having problems with using Google in Firefox. For the past week or so, I have been unable to view the search result numbers. In Opera and IE, they show properly immediately below the search text input box, but not in Firefox. The "show destination urls" box is partially tucked up behind the search window box as well. Hope this gets fixed soon as I use Firefox a lot.

  • Ok, I just figured it out.

I just disabled the addon titled XULRunner, and now google is working like it should.

I didnt install this addon, and it says its XULRunner is a mozilla runtime package.

  • Ok, Just did a quick investigation and came across this ...

A Firefox extension called XULRunner 1.9.1 is a form of malware masquerading as XULRunner that redirects Google search links to different Web sites.
Check your Addons, if you have XULRunner 1.9.1 installed, delete it asap!
