In case the ship sinks.. Best Paypal Alternative?

I just feel the CC co's are putting the pressure on Paypal to hamper down IM/AFFILIATE marketing transactions...

Something is brewing behind the scenes.. I hear it more and more on this forum that people are having issues with paypal/clickbank/etc..

What is the best alternative to process payments online? (besides a dedicated merchant acct)?

I keep hearing this alluded to on here, but are there actual stories and experiences somewhere? Would someone mind posting a link or two?

Alertpay might be a option. Never heard any complaints about it processing any marketing transactions. I think they allow MLM stuff too.

I haven't had to consider a PayPal alternative, but I've heard good things about 2checkout and 1shoppingcart.

... You might also want to consider letting a merchant like Clickbank handle your products, payment, delivery and all that good stuff too.

I use 2checkout. It has high fees though but it is well worth it if your business is at stake.

I've used ccnow for years and they are very reliable HOWEVER as far as I know it's only for physical products you ship (I have 1 product we actually manufacture). If that's your case, try them.

If your transactions are larger, these might be helpful. I've used escrow.com a couple of times, a little slower but no problems. I use xoom.com all the time for sending money--your buyers could use it.
