Do traffic services like this work?

I just saw this (daily-traffic dot com) and it says they will direct thousands of people to your site and get them to click links on your site etc to increase google ranking.

I am wondering:
a) do plans like this really work; and
b) how on earth do they get thousands of people to visit your site and click on links there?

Figured you guys (and women) here are aware of this type of thing and can answer my questions. Thanks.

Most of these companies also own (or are affiliated with) other sites that offer users small amounts of cash to view websites for a set amount of time... (usually 20 or 30 seconds...)

This creates lots of "hits" to your site, but the people that are visiting are not doing so because they are interested in your content... they are viewing it for the required time to earn about a cent or two (or credits toward free traffic).

So in short, you will get traffic, but it is not very targeted or useful (in my experience).

I would take 100 targeted, and eager visitors per day rather than 10000 forced views!

There are thousands of services like this. 99.99% of these traffic providers will get your Adsense account banned by Google. Before you delve into paying for traffic, do your homework.

Basically they have a huge network of people, where users can sign up to click on links and they get paid a few cents per click. If they don't have a network like this then they are resellers for a company that does have a network like this.

PM me if you want to know which traffic providers are Adsense safe.

You are basically buying forced crap traffic that can't be monetized in any other way with this kind of offer, so stay away.

The only use of these services is to "fluff" up your analytics before selling a site!...

I would recommend to stay away from such a service.

There are alot of warriors lately getting burned by bots.

Hey, I cant blame ya or laugh at ya. We have all been there before, especially when I first started this IM stuff. Just dont do it. Focus on quality high targeted. Go to where your prospects are. Work smarter not harder.

Thanks for the info. Seemed to me that all that traffic would cause your site to rise in google rankings and then you'd get more targeted traffic from that. But from what you guys are saying I guess that's not true...

Don't get these sites confused with the legit PPV traffic though

Some sites like TrafficVance and Direct CPV have traffic that converts, because you can target specific keywords, URLs, etc.

But your best bet for those sites with dirt cheap, untargetted traffic is to MAYBE send em to a squeeze page and promote some generic CPA offers and whatnot on the backend.

It's not worth it. Definitely don't buy traffic like that if you're using Adsense.

Some of these packages work with list building (IM related) purposes. You need to use very eye catching lead capture pages.

Its a domino program. The people you are paying for might not be any way interested in your program they might be getting a cent or two to view your program for 30 seconds. You don't even have to pay for that there are many free sites that will offer you those same incentives for free there called traffic exchanges.

These services are pretty much useless for most people and against TOU for many ad networks so not only will you waste your money on the service, you might damage your earning potential in general. That said, I do know people who have used these services to boost youtube views with good results but YMMV.

Traffic doesn't have any or much effect on ranking at all in my experience. Ranking well is all about having your on page and off page SEO up to par. Traffic can increase your sales potentially, if it is targeted, but should have little effect on your rankings in my opinion.

Sure there are many traffic services like these that work. I have used Donkey Mails to get a bunch of visitors to Ezine Articles back in the day when you could get more exposure this way.

But the visitors you are sending are not Targeted Visitors. So you can't expect much for coversions.

If you want to see how this works for free you can check out YouLikeHits and add your website there.

You'll be able to bring in traffic and if you have an opt-in box or have a great offer you may even get some subscribers.

Thanks. My main focus is increasing my rankings so I can get more targeted traffic from google searches. So I guess this isn't for me. Thanks for all the info, now I know.

It is PTC traffic which means paid-to-click traffic which is mostly crap. I'm sure you're aware of the PTC sites and their ads right...well, your website will be displayed there and these days most PTC users just use bots...so it's just you wasting all the money for nothing...

    STAY AWAY!
