200+ UV a day but no income - What went wrong?

I have a gaming website that generate about 200+ UV a day but it seems that I can't get it to generate any income. I am promoting adsense as well as a clickbank product in there. I am using Socrates theme for the site.

Any reason why my site don't generate income?

What's the URL? Can't tell much w/o that. 200 UV a day should definitely get you a few adsense clicks here and there.

Is it dedicated to a particular game?

      At a guess I'd say it's because....

The people at your site already own that game and the console used to play it so there's really not a lot to sell to them.

200 UV's a day is great if it's targeted, buying traffic but when it's just casual interest in something it's not worth much.

You should be making at least a little off adsense though.

hmmm... more then a few of my clients had the same issue

It's usually because you don't have the right kind of traffic or you don't have a proper sales funnel put into place or marketing system set up.

There could also be a number of other factors leading to no sales such as your traffic is not looking for what they are looking for.

say people who want to know about bowling are coming to your site about games??? that might be 1 reason.. you want laser targeted traffic - you want people who are into games coming to your site.

Find out where your traffic is coming from.

when you get targeted traffic - people who are looking for what your website offers

all you need to do is build a relationship with that traffic and get them to take action.. how do you do that?

There is a few different options

first you can have an optin list in which you build a relationship with your leads by showing them cool facts or videos that will help them game better

    this builds trust and athority

you don't want to have ad's all over your site .. I don't have any type of ad or monetization on my sites untill im getting 250-500 uniqus a day and am on page 1 in the search engines - but in the mean time im building my list and building a relationship with my list

anyways when you approach them this way you will convert LOTS more people into sales if you give them an honest review of a secret game strategy you developed

mabey make your own product so you see more profit.

say you have people who are into world of war craft coming to your site.

and you develop an information product that shows them cool strategies and secrets for them to win cool stuff or get higher level's.

and then you promote your product to your list and add it to your website - you will make a killing!

... alot of people just don't have this type of system set up and that is why there traffic does not convert.

    Hope this helps

200 uvs a day is a good traffic but let me tell you one sad thing...gaming traffic is hard to convert...just the way it is...

My buddy had a gaming forum with more than 200k members and he hardly made anything before he sold it...but surprisingly the next guy who bought it, had literally milked it...

I'd consider looking into CPA...check out the latest offers...like email submits which usually have a payout of $1 or mobile offers which have around $5+ ... so maybe give that a shot...

let me tell you another thing...logically, when we use adsense on our sites, we want users to click those links and go away...but your problem is users are not clicking on adsense ads...

well, look at it in a positive way, that means your site is actually interesting to leave it so i'd suggest CPA is the best option in tour case...

I have 2 gaming sites, one has had thousands of visitors and never once made a sale to the "laser targeted" traffic, it has however sold a few different guides, though not many, and not enough.

The other has brought in a sale a week since the third week it was up, and maxed out at around $400/mo.

The biggest difference is the need for the info/product. Even then, the conversion rates are ridiculously low.
