Yarghh...Domain forwarding ._.

Whats up guys. I made a mistake, (or maybe I didn't I don't know)
I'm hosting a domain with hostgator and I tried to set it up for domain forwarding. So I went to my godaddy account because cpanel didn't seem to have anything for domain forwarding with masking.

I set it up and then after a few hours it appears my nameservers switched back to godaddy some how.

So, does this mean I can't set up forwarding in cpanel ? ._.

If you want to simply forward the domain you do not need any hosting.

When you change the forwarding in your Godaddy account it might go to the default Godaddy landing page for a few hours and then it settles onto the domain that you supplied as a target.

If you're interested, it appears that "yarghh.com" (and all other domain-extensions) are actually available to register. But using the more conventional spelling "yaargh", the .com and .net are already registered. I'm wondering whether there's any potential typosquatting value in yarghh.com?

More seriously, as HP says above, you don't need hosting to redirect a domain-name: it can be done via the registrar. In the case of GoDaddy, it can take anything between ten minutes and 48 hours to "go through".
