Hi everyone

I'm brand new to this forum so any assistance would be most grateful

Now although I've been providing a variety of IM solutions for the past few years, one of the things I specialise in is providing training solutions for a product called Sage ACT, which is a contact management product that allows you to build great relationships, both online and offline and from the feedback I've already received, it seems I'm quite good at it

But here's the problem

I'm constantly trying to find new ways and valuable products that I can provide to my clients and to also make sure I'm up together with all the latest goings on in the IM arena

The issue I have, is that I'm now bombareded with so many messages and pulled in so many directions, that I really haven't got any structure or strategy at all to grow my business

I'm absolutely certain that this is a common problem people come up against so I know I'm not alone here

The help and advice I need, is from somebody that has been in my shoes and come out the other side and succesfully created an online business that works for them, rather than them working for it, which is exactly what I'm doing right now and to the tune of about 70 hours a week

As you can imagine, not great for family life

My wife and two wonderful kids just want me back and I need some guidance as to how to get there

HELP!!!

    Hey man,

    I can totally relate to what you are going through. I never used to say no to any projects either and would land up in similar situations like you.

    What I've found is that it's usually roughly 1/3rd of the stuff you do that makes you the most money and gives you the least headaches. So I got rid of the 2/3rd of the projects that were the biggest headaches to me. That also included very demanding/a**hole clients.

    Also, its more lucrative to squeeze the most out of the projects that make you the most money. Make the most out of your success!

      Everyone can relate to information overload

      Even this forum as wonderful and incredible can give you information because there are thousands of threads with great information

      Just learn to be selective with post you need

      Use the Search tab on the warrior forum home page

      Finish your project

      People don't make money online not because they don't know but because they are too distracted to do the thing that counts

      So , here's the cure to information overload and here's what you do next if you serious to get rid

      1. decide whether you are going to offer a product or service

      2. Offer product on service based on what you are good at

      3. Unsubscribe from anybody's list that is not going to help you sell your product or service . Almost everyone here is on a thousand people's list.keep only one list

      4. Get to work and start getting more customer: nothing is more important than having customers to your business . So create products or services , build your list and find affiliates who would get you more customers

      Much Love...

        Hi Femi

        Thanks for your thoughts, it's seems we are both on the same page as I have literally, in the lats few days, unsubscribed from all the lists I was on and am now focussing 110% of my efforts on a training program which I will adhere to religiously and hope it provides the results it promises

        Keep you posted on my progress and thanks once again

      Hi imfriend

      Thank you for your kind advice, something I will take onboard

      I guess what you're saying is focus on what's hot right now and once that's complete, leverage it to its full potential

      Such a simple concept and yet with all the different opinions in the IM world, and all the advanced techniques available, it's all too easy to lose sight of the basics

      Thanks again for the kind advice

    Hey Keith,

    Yes it's a common problem.

    Really the solution is simple.

    Don't focus on what is available (there's thousands of products and most of what get launched is rehashed old stuff), but focus on your customers and their wants/needs.

    If you constantly look at stuff that's coming out you'll be staring at new things forever as there's a constant stream of stuff.

    Just look at your business - who your customers are, what they value, what their pain is, and what ways you can help them, then draw out a plan and then keep focused on that plan regardless of what shiny things come along.

    It looks like you're in the UK. I'm in Peterborough. If you want to meet up for a chat sometime I'd be happy to give you some proper advice based on my own experience.

    Regards,
    Andy

      Hi Andy

      Thank you so much for your feedback, you are so right

      Although I'm new here in the forum, I've been playing around online for about 5 years but it's only now, that I'm seriously focussing on it. (Needs must as I'm now doing this full time!!!)

      What you say about old re-hashed content is so true, plr this and that, latest Facebook fad or Google offering, it's just a constantly evolving marketplace that isn't possible to stay up to date with everything

      Something somebody told me literally in the last few days which was one of the simplest, yet most powerful bits of advice I have heard in years, they said "Stop buying and start selling"

      Words of wisdom and certainly somehting I am now going to focus on

      And yes, I am in the UK, Southampton to be exact and if I'm ever in your neck of the woods, it would be great to catch up with you

      All the best

    Just focus on 1 thing at a time. I try to reduce amount of new information I'm exposed to before then I'm doing too many things at once. It's good to learn new things but implementation should be 80% of your time, learning new things maybe 10%.

    Hi Keith,

    The big question -> What are you looking for?

    -> Are you looking for products that you can resell to various segments of your clientele?
    -> Are you looking for knowledge that can enhance your skills?
    -> Are you looking for ways to create your own products?
    -> Are you looking for ways to promote your products?

    Which one of the above?

    Once you have decided, then you're on the right track towards your direction.

    When you put the questions in front of you, it helps you to classify whatever that comes to you and whatever you stumbled upon anywhere. Saves lots of time, energy and prevents headaches.

    Easy classification :
    (1) -> irrelevant -> skip
    (2) -> relevant -> keep

    Now whatever you've kept as relevant needs to be sieved further ( filter ) based on 2 important points :
    (1) -> Quality
    (2) -> Depth of Relevance

    In the markets, what will smother us are the FOGS of HYPE and SCAMS among those items we've gathered together in our basket.

    How do we overcome these 2 to get at the products with the RIGHT QUALITY and DEPTH of RELEVANCE?

    (1) -> Our Diligence
    (2) -> Our Willingness To Network

    These 2 inherent characters will enable us to do COMPARISON, the key to making good decisions.

    Generally, we compare products and services that we've already classified as relevant and of quality based on 6 points:
    (1) features,
    (2) benefits,
    (3) performance,
    (4) specifications ( suitability ),
    (5) other people's experience
    (6) price.

    And mind you, after all these thorough steps, we can still make mistakes. But the mistakes would be less costly. And mistakes done is equal to good experience.

    And many times, we would also make successful decisions and be very satisfied.

    If we happened to gather 5 or 6 fantastic products, all at par, there are many ways to finalize. One of it is GUT FEELING. Another is to check for complaints in the market. Yet another is, to see how responsive the person at the other end is to all of our queries.

    I'm not encouraging analysis paralysis. What I'm proposing are the basics of decision making which happened to be a major time saver as well. As you go along, you'll be sharper and quicker at that.

    I'm talking based on experience handling tonnes of information in many forms in various industries for the past 25 years. And achieving what I wanted to achieve from them.

    Hope this helps a bit.
