Product Launch Consultant - 5 & 6 Figure Launch

Has anyone ever used a consultant to assist them with their product launch?

For example, a consultant who would be responsible for doing several tasks like arranging for the following work to be completed:

email follow ups, landing page designs, connecting with JV partners, and sales funnel...etc

Has anyone ever got this type of service from someone?

And most importantly how much did you pay, and can you tell me who it was?

Much Appreciated

Not too sure, but you could also look in the JV forum as there are some threads in there that cover some of this. You could find them and see if any answers in there, or PM one of the people within the thread as you might get a more relevant answer.

There are some good ones out there.

I think there are a number of them personally trained by Jeff Walker.

I know of three anyway - they charge between $5000 and $20,000 upfront, plus about 10% of the launch.

I'm sure there are others too with various fee structures and ability levels.

Personally I think you'd probably be better off hiring a top of the line copywriter thougj, because for the most part you'll be getting the same thing - along with knowing that the guy will be able to write your copy and it won't be another layer of expense you have to pay for.

Most good copy writers I know can handle a launch - so if I was looking for that type of thing myself, that would be the direction I would go in.

Kevin Rogers and his partner Ben Johnson are a good example of this type of copywriter/Product Launch Consultant type situation.

      Hi...

I just wanted to offer this resource... Google plm directory

I am one of Jeff's original Platinum PLM's...so please feel free to say hello and ask any questions you wish.

The main benefit of using a trained PLM is that they know there is so much more to a launch than just good copy (although, that is a crucial part of it).

I've completed 3 six figure launches this year in varying markets and all I can say is, it's worth having the discussion...

I wish you all the best in which ever way you choose to go...

      Regards,

      James Klobasa

    Thanks for the resource James!

I think it's one that people could get good use out of. I had no idea it was around. Any idea why JW doesn't really talk about it very much?

One point of clarification - I was not trying to suggest you just hire a copywriter and assume they could do a launch for you.

That's kind of a hit or miss approach that may, or may not, work.

The point was more along the line's of trying to find someone who is skilled at both - and your luck in finding a copywriter who is a good product launch manager is probably greater vs the luck you would have finding a PLM who is also a great copy writer (which doesn't mean you couldn't hire it out if you wished).

There are a number of excellent copywriters who also have put together some pretty good launches. I mentioned Kevin and Ben.

On the PLM list I also see names like Brad Peterson, who's been around forever and is one of the most respected copywriters around in the financial niche with tons of winning controls mailed and online launches -, Chris Haddad who I don't know but have heard good things about etc.

A product launch costs serious money...its as simple as that.

A Jeff Walker consultant will hit you for between $20,000 to $30,000 plus "up-front" and that's ONLY for management! You still have to foot the bill for everything else. And most of them wont even make it their responsability to get you the affiliate traffic you need to make it work.

If you can afford it and find a Jeff Walker consultant that really has had some success stories, then go for it.

Alternatively, get serious and learn all there is to learn about product launches on WF. Start with a very small less expensive launch and learn by your mistakes. The school of hard knocks is the best way.

However, unless you have nerves of steel and don't suffer stress easily....walk away. A product launch can be financially crippling and one of the most stressful experiences you will ever encounter. Ohhh, and don't believe all the hype...for every sucess story there are ten times more failures.

On the other hand, if you have the drive, creativity and persistence to make it work, a product launch can be a very rewarding experience.

Absolutely! There have been times where I've literally felt my hair graying due to the high levels of stress. There's a ton of "little" loose ends to make sure are tied up and accounted for.

No one bats 100% success rate. There's a lot of things that can wrong with a launch.

Anyone who says they always have hit launches either hasn't done many launches or is lying.

      To the OP...

Another option is to hire a copywriter who has product launch experience. As part of your due diligence, find out what launches they either ran or were part of.

If your budget doesn't permit hiring a pro, then look at buying Jason Fladlien's Poor Man's Product Launch. It's not as in-depth as Jeff Walker's course but you can't expect that for a course that is a fraction of the price. What Jason's course will do is get you pointed in the right direction... then on one of your future launches, you can afford to bring in the heavy guns.

      Hope that helps,

      Mike
