The best way in creating GIF images.

Hello Warriors,

Did you create your own gif images? If so, what tools did you use? How did you do them?

I am using adobe photoshop in creating my gif files but then, the movement of the images are not flawless, unlike to the other gif files.

May you share some ways and even tools which do you consider as best as far as making of gif files is concern?

Any information you may provide will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Louie

Goto Fiverr and have a graphics designer create one for you for $5. Are you talking about animated GIFs? If they are banner I have used http://www.bannersnack.com/ and had some create success. You can do some funky animation with it.

Yes, I am referring to animated GIF's. Okay, I am going to consider that, however I would like to know as well some of the ways and tools.

      Thanks for the input sjean!

is good, PaintShopPro will do 95% of what Photoshop will do for 1/7th the price. (.GIFs, .JPGs, .PNGs, .BMPs, .ICO, Favicons and much, much more). Plus 10 times easier to learn.

Personally, I'd go to E-Bay and you can usually find a PSP9 for sale for around $20. (After version 9, they added DMCA spyware just like Photoshop has had since it went to the CS series. Unless you like to be spied on worse than Google already does... stay away from Adobe/Macromedia products). They give free software to universities and students a discount so there software gets taught. Then they update and charge $159-$250 to keep up. Meanwhile, the current price of PaintShopPro full bundle is under Adobe's at only $69!!

(But it does have the spyware, personally, I'd check E-Bay for a few weeks until PSP7-9 disc came on sale! I just looked and at least 1 is for sale with 'Buy It Now' price under $20!

JASC Paint Shop Pro 9 w Animation Shop 3 NIB! | eBay

PS- (I'd stay away from the 8 version. There was some 'issues' they never quite resolved before 9 came out.)

I checked out bannersnack - and watched the video. It really looks awesome and easy.

      Only thing is -

...if you don't want a watermark on your banner - than you've got to go premium which is $24/month. And since they host the banners for you - cancelling at any point down the road will mean your banners won't work any more - I assume.

Anyone know any good FREE sites or one-time Low Cost tools for creating Animated GIFs?

Yeah Bannersnack is pretty slick and reasonably priced. You are better off with flash banners than animated gifs in my opinion. I am sure others would disagree. I guess would depend on whether you were building apps or webpages for mobile devices or not.
