Total Newbie - Whats next?

I just signed up for WF, have been working on html/css skills and doing freelance web designs for 8 months since graduating college, I have a family and need a "real world" income.
I am getting tired of spending money and time with no results...
I am interested in internet marketing and even passive strategies but don't know where to begin...
Where should I start? What should I do next?

There are a plethora of ways to make money online, you just have to pick the one that you like the most and go for it. It's very hard to give you a single thing to start with not knowing your skills or interests. My advice is to look around the forums, find something you think you'd be good at and would like to do and start with that.

If you've been making sites, try to find someone with a service who doesn't have a site, and offer to make them one for $50 bucks. The worse they can say is no. Then this is where you work on your sales skills, and how you can start generating money with your service.

In my opinion if you are new in IM you should get Google slicer by Kayzee or Google Sniper 2 by George

Just spend some time here, and read the forum topic which related to your post then surely you will get the idea how to control it.

If you're a designer, one of the best things you could do is build sites for people, but open a hostgator reseller account so that they're paying you each month for the hosting. If you get a few hundred clients paying you $10/month...

Great to know you are taking action.

Since you have website design skill you can offer services to others for a fee or simply build long term relationship.

Can you share what methods have you been trying and for how long? So others can advise you more appropriately.

Fastest way for you to make some money online is to offer a service

If you can write , offer an article writing service for say $ 5 for 250 words

You are not going to be a millionaire all of a sudden but you would be earning cash

Once you choose a service , stay with it . DOn't get distarcted . Do the work that would bring you

Leave a post if it is not going to help you with your service . Everything that is not going to help you make money selling your service has to go

Unsubcribe from list asking you to go a thousand and one links ... they waste your time and fracture your focus

Keep going . You would get there

My advice would be to stop buying software or ebooks (if you are buying any). You don't have to buy any of that to be successful at internet marketing.

First thing I recommend is to find something you are interested in. If you are interested, there are others online who are likely interested in it too. Then from there, develop a site around it. It doesn't have to be a blog. Can you develop a cool service around the niche that others aren't currently doing? Do you just want to provide useful tips that others aren't sharing?

I'm not saying down the road you can't develop sites around topics you aren't interested in, but to get started you will likely stay more motivated and share your creation with others more frequently if you are doing something you are proud of and passionate about. Good luck!

This won't get you money right away, but once you figure out what niche you wanna get in to, create a squeeze page and start building a list...

I hear a good list can be better than a 401k...
