Marketing: Traffic Equals Sales!

Just looking for some feedback and maybe some tips. Squidoo seems to be my arch nemesis. Thanks for listening!

    Hi Sean!

    Since you asked...

Great start! Here are some thing to remember with Squidoo:

1.) Your URL should be keyword relevant so staylor is more for a profile page.

2.) Your introduction is more about your story than a WIIFM for the reader. If they got there wanting to know about traffic for marketing purposes, introduce your lens with something useful right off the bat to make them stick around. Put your story near the end to add emphasis that you have experience.

3.) The title of the lens reflects your website I believe, but try to pull in a few traffic tips and traffic to conversion tips for your reader so that they will say to themselves, "Wow this is good - let me see what else this guy has to offer" and click through to your link.

This is the best use of Squidoo IMO.

4.) Make sure you don't use the generic title that comes with any of the modules (ie: New Guestbook). Use that space for keyword SEO. Try something like, "What marketing and traffic techniques would you like to learn more about?" or something of that nature.

    Hope this helps!

You definitely have the lens creation down pat - not just use the best content and you'll be all set.

Checked out your stuff Sean. On your Squidoo lens I am wondering what keywords you are targeting if you are trying to get on Google. I see the tags you are using, but what one single keyword or phrase are you going after?

    I second Tiffany's suggestions.

One other thingie--the squeeze page you reference on your lens--it goes to your blog and there is an opt-in form there. However, I would recommend having a squeeze page separate from your blog that offers a super bonus for opting in. You tell visitors to "join my list", but why should they do that? Give them something to download immediately when they do opt-in and I think you'll get much higher conversion rates.

Not being critical--I care--I want you to make your million!!!
