Find a service that you would enjoy offering, and have a website built around it. Once you start building business up I would invest in your first team member. Personally train them so you can ensure they provide the quality that customers are used to you delivering. Rinse and repeat the process until you have a complete staff.

Next, you can train managers to handle your team, so on and so forth until you have a self sustained business. You can definitely get this started with $500 and build from your first profits.

IN simple terms, find something which people want and then provide it to them. A service you can do yourself is the cheapest way to go. Think about something you can do like writing, graphics, SEO, etc. and then market yourself. Or if you are an expert on particularly topics then you may find that people will pay you for your knowledge.

As said earlier, create a blog which contains the information you offer and drive traffic to it. The money can be made from ads or associated products. And be sure to get subscribers so you can email occasionally. every once in a while you can send them a targeted offer to generate some revenue.

I would start a real business. Something that offers a real service that is in demand.

If you took everything from me... Including my contacts. And gave me just one shot to make.

I would start a micro hosting company around some niche or local area. I would focus on providing some added value that the big companies can't offer.

Focus on just getting 50 happy clients at $10 a month. Then scale up.

I think you need to come from a place where you're asking yourself, "How can I help people in a way that I would enjoy."

A huge shift takes place when your goal is to help people as opposed to just building a business.

All of the sudden, making sales is easy, you like the people you're working with, and you feel good about your work.

For example, I hate Bank of America, so even if there was a good business offering some service to that company, I wouldn't want to. I hope all of their branches go to hell, so how effective would I be working with them?

On the other hand, I love my fellow entertainers and want them to be as successful as I am. As a result, I'm happy to offer them anything I can do to help.

Think about who you really are and the people you want to work with. If these things are incongruous, you won't be happy or successful.

The most bang for your buck would be creating your own product and developing a list.
Watch the forums and news, see what areas people are having trouble in, and develop a solution. Even a good ebook can bring you in some cash along with helping you build a list. Most of the people that are making good are the list builders. What is better than having a captive audience to market to?

I'd certainly do something on the offline side...since it's the summer time here, and hotels will be in a huge demand...

I'd be contacting some hotel managers, make a website for them...or like some promo videos...

You can buy sets of icons at most photo sites. They are pretty cheap. But I think you have some much bigger issues to worry about first.

Before spending a dime, see if you can actually write out a business plan first.

Write it, and be as detailed as possible.

If you don't know how to write one, go look at some videos on youtube.

this is an easy answer, thanks! whatever you did to make/get $500, now that you are a "hundredaire", do it again, you will now be a "thousandaire". so....now that you are a thousandaire, keep doing what you did to make/get your $500 and go for being a ten-thousandaire. at $500, you truly do not have enough money to sustain a business, unless you are gifted on the Internet, you would not be asking us if you were. hold onto your money and make/get more doing what you did. if (you likely are) young, put away at least 10% of all the money you make/receive for the rest of your life and you will be wealthy one day. do it automatically too. congratulations on your success so far. before you become a millionaire, you must first become a hundredaire, which you have. now a thousandaire, a ten-thousandaire-a hundred-thousandaire, the rest is wash, rinse, repeat. i have done what i just outlined too. If you didn't need the 500 bucks...or ANY bucks...for that matter...

What would you HAPPILY do, as a Service, online, that's in demand....for FREE!

      Once you've GOT it....DO that...but for a FEE!

Use your $500 for all the usual startup stuff!

      Then...GO for it!

Just off the bat from a Google search, I found this company that does apps for both platforms:

Me personally, I was starting with ZERO $$, so I started my own fan page design business and that's been treating me well. I'll look into other investments soon as well. Currently looking for an auto-pilot income sort of system I can follow for a year to build up some solid automated income.

But you have a great idea with the app man. If you've got the budget for it, you don't even have to develop it! Just have a great idea and then outsource it.

Go to Freelancer.com or Odesk, Elance, etc... I would suggest checking these places as well and posting up a job for an application development person, then hire someone to build it out for you.

Good luck man! You should PM me and keep me in the loop! I'm excited to hear about your progress and I have a good feeling about your inspiration!

I really wanted to start a buisness of my own but I am scared of starting a buisness and not having a unique design and not getting enough traffic. I wanted to start an article writing buisness, learn graphic design and start a seperate business and do the same for making apps once I learn how to.

Also as far as the apps, thanks for your help. I plan on outsourcing a really good app idea (once I choose my best one) and then use the profits to learn how to make my own apps and create my own buisness that offers this service.

I will use $100 for make a trial plan with Amazon products
    1. Find the keywords, low competition but high income, the products with more than $100, so you will be get more than $6( because 6% commission will be easy to reach)
    2. Hire someone do the review content ( with $5 I can find a good writer at Fiverr to write it). Cook this with your skill and Amazon aff. links
    3. Buy a .info domain with $1 at Goddady
    4. Make a blog with blogger.com, post your content at there and redirect to .info domain
    5. Use $50 to hire some one to build links for you, at WF I see a lot of people do it. Do not use service point direct poor links to your money site. With low competition keyword, you need some good high PR links to get on first page on Google.
    6. Use the rest for build link to maintain and get more traffic
    7. when you reach top 3 spot on Google, you may have about 5-10 sales per month, this mean $30-$60 per month. You can scale it with your $400.
Expense : $5-$10 for content, $1 for domain, $50 for build link, total about $60, if you can build link by yourself, you just pay $11 and get $60 passive income per month

That is an impossible to answer question ... you have given absolutely no indication of your abilities, skills, interests, etc.

All of the answers you are reading above are based on someones own experience which may or may not apply to you.

Thinking outside the box is a great attribute, but you need to start with a box first .

Ok I think what I will do is start with one app(outsource). After making some profit from this site I will then promote it and use some money to fund my education on creating apps. Once I have at least two succesful apps and some knowledege I will create a app of my own and focus on promoting that app. After a while (hopefully I would have enough knowledge) I will start an app creation buisness as well as create my own apps that gain revenue. I have a passion for coding and apps and such (like a chef making food) but I must first learn how to do this.

P.S. do you think I should outsource all promotion or learn some of it myself? I have enough basic html and css skill to at least make custom facebook page. Also how would ebooks tie into my apps? Thanks in advance for your help!

Once you buy your domain and hosting

Get your website up and dont spend a penny before you get nice conversions with free traffic.

If you can get nice conversions with high targeted traffic for FREE, then go all out on media buys, ppv, cpa, solo ad.

That is what we do and works a treat.

How about you hire a backlinking VA from the Philippines and post a service on Fiverr. Or even here in WF in the "Warriors for hire" section. After which, send your clients to your squeeze page so you can build a list and market them SEO products or services which you can create or you could easily promote other Warriors WSOs which are in the SEO niche.

After all, many internet marketers are suckers for SEO products. ;-)

If you've not made any money online yet, then going outside of the box may not be the best idea.

Unless you have a killer startup idea, which would require more than $ 500, you better get good at basics before going out of the box.

Find an in-demand service you can offer. Use the $500 to advertise.

But how do you deliver a service you know little about?

You find talent who knows this service very well... and you act as middle man/agency/facilitator.

Find good freelancers and eliminate the bad.

For instance... I often have a ton of video projects to get done. I need to pay someone to do them. My biggest speedbump is sorting through a bunch of crap freelancers to find good ones.

If I have a $250 budget for a small, quick project and you can save me all the time I would spend looking for freelancers, I don't care if you're making $75 of that $250.

You saving me time... while not costing me extra... that's a great service. Understand?
