Where Can You Advertise Your WSO Outside The Warrior Forum?

I was wondering, where (and where not) is it allowed for WSOs to be advertised outside of the Warrior Forum?

I have seen plenty of marketers inform their email newsletter subscribers about their new WSOs. But since they are supposed to be Warrior Special Offers, for members of the Warrior Forum only, and not the general public, what are the official restrictions? (I have not seen specific rules about this.)

For example, if someone went to other websites and purchased banner ads that direct to a WSO, would that WSO/member be banned or what?

In a nutshell, is this forum officially the only place approved to advertise your WSO?

Nothing is true anymore when it comes about those "special"... just for members ideas.

I am pretty sure you can advertise your WSO anywhere. And not even a mod would find a rule that forbids it

I thought the rule was your own email list only.

Why sell your WSO outside of WF?

The WF rule is that the WSO has to be the lower price, right?

So, sell on your website at a higher price (makes sense to me).

My guess is that about 95% of the WSOs are created for the sake of WSO marketplace and they are NOT sold anywhere else ever...

They just say: wow, this would be $297 but only for you today is $7.

Certain aspects of the WSOs have very clear-cut rules, other aspects look quite messy and rubber-like flexible: e.g. non-wso sales page, who can buy, where to advertise...

Lol, I know that's how they do it (that is funny).

Still, If the WSO is $7, they could have any amount of different prices all over the net.

        Website A = $15
        Website B = $27
        Website C = $47
        etc...

        Why would they do this?

The same reason they created the fake $297 price. On the $47 site (Website C) post a comment saying "Hey, this product is only $27 over on Website B", Wow Great Deal!, lol.

Drive all the traffic to Website C.

This dosnt exactly make sense to me...its WSO because its for WARRIORS.

if your going to sell it elsewhere...it better be for a larger price.

Don't they have to actually be Warriors to make the purchase on the Warrior Forum for a WSO?

Also, is it better to wait until after the WSO runs to sell it for a higher price on your own website?

This thread has been very helpful btw.

No. You don't have to be a member of this forum to purchase or click any of the buy now links.

As for the second thing - is it better to wait?

Some people use this forum as a testing ground to see what kind of price they might demand in the big market. For them it will help determine what that higher price will be and work out the kinks.

Some items are only available here on this forum and are never found elsewhere - making them special in their own way.

Some people have started stuff here and it never seems to leave this forum ever. It just gets bumped over and over and over. It may never be sold for a higher price anywhere.

Some start with a higher price off the forum, and realize they are not hitting their target market so they bring it in here and drop the price looking for some kind of sales to kick in.

I would have to agree the WSO special are no longer special. I found many regular price services outside better than WSO special, I think this because anyone claim his work special for WSO even if he knew and just trying what he sell outside.

I hope the special be taking more serious. Since i Joined i am looking for offers in WSO, the only ones that seem to worth it are already sold out

Yeah, I could just sell on a normal site at a higher price. I was just wondering what the actual rules were. After all, there are advantages to sending traffic to a WSO thread.

I think it's only allowed for email lists...

apart from that, anywhere else just defeats the whole purpose of the WSO!

One can promote wsos as an affiliate now, so I guess it can be promoted beyond WF and one's own list.

Just checked the rules again, can't see any restrictions. So I guess the answer to your question will be "everywhere".

You can pm a mod or someone like that to be on the safe side. It won't be fun if you lose your account following our advice.

With digiresults and warriorplus I regularly email my list to tell them about the great products that are available here.

To me the WSO section is fantastic for IM products, for $40 you get your product in front of the perfect audience and the feedback you can get it amazing vs just seeing a salespage that has no feedback from buyers underneath it.

Also I've seen some great adverts on facebook for WSO's. I think the ket is to make sure that you are giving a great deal that can't be found elsewhere and then use all of the feedback to launch the same product at a higher price on your own site.

The reason the WSO is doing so well is that the quality and trust factor is so high, clickbank have shot themselves in the foot by allowing so much crap into their system, and a s result the WSO section is flurishing as crap WSO's get negative feedback instantly and then no matter how slick the salespage it becomes impossible to sell.

it doesn't need to be so special to make it WSO. Just make warriors fill so special and they will buy from you.
Current regulation is just fine for me, it there are too many rules (which already too many, irs rule, paypal rule etc), make things complicated.

Life is simple friends, make it so.

Good insights. I was thinking the same thing, about affiliates promoting WSOs, so naturally, the advertising would be many places across the Internet.

Willie Crawford promotes WSOs that he likes as an affiliate to his friends on Facebook. There have been a couple others here and there, but Willie jumps out as a guy who does promote WSOs there as an affiliate.

There's asymmetrical information which you can exploit if your product is of high quality enough.

Sell your front end WSO product at a higher price on a separate domain (squeeze page), then send all sorts of traffic towards it.

EG. Build a list/ Set it up on Clickbank for affiliates/ free ebook report with an eventual link to your squeeze....

I mean, you don't actually have to use your WSO link to sell it... do you?

It seems to me that the WSO has to be unique to this forum but you can get sales from anywhere.

I don't think the site owner would worry as he has made his money already. It seems that it would be in their favour to have other traffic visit the site and make purchases as there is the opportunity of a wider audience who may then sign up, create their own WSO and continue the cycle.

Not sure if this is the case, just my take on it.

No, it doesn't. Straight from the rules:

      3. A Warrior Special Offer Means The Price You Give Must Be Better Than The Price The Public At Large Can Get. (This is not a "buy my product" forum, it is a "Special Offer" forum)
So you can offer the product somewhere else as long as the price in the WSO offer is "better" than wherever else it's listed. I see people offer their Clickbank e-book or software at huge discounts in the WSO forum. They are listed at both places, but the WSO price is lower.

Granted that the WSO is a public forum, but most of the public doesn't even know it exists. The Warrior forum is a very small % of the IM community, there are still a lot of marketers who don't even know about it.

I'm glad my thread has opened discussion and been able to help.

From what I have seen, there is no technology to enforce that only members of the Warrior Forum purchase WSOs. Anyone who finds them can click the order links, after all. And I do think it's usually better to sell to the general public at a higher price later, especially for more exclusive offers.

Banner ads on the Warrior Forum are still within the forum, so don't really apply to my original question about where else you can advertise WSOs. (Although I know that the banner ads here are a great way to advertise.)

Yes, it's easy enough to just send traffic to a normal sales page with a higher price - but the social proof inherent in many WSOs has been proven to increase sales. Allen Says says so (no pun intended) himself: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...d-details.html

Of course, this isn't as relevant to non-Warrior-Forum traffic, but I still think that sending it to a WSO thread could yield better results. Perhaps split-testing would provide more data on that. Or maybe I just won't bother, hehe.

I personally like to buy WSO's since they have real reviews opposed to sales pages outside the forum with reviews like "This was the best product ever!" by George C. in New York.

On the forum I can actually see who is writing the review and if they have a good rep and do I trust their opinion.

Even if I hear about a product being sold outside the forum, I still come back here to see what others here are saying about it before I buy it.

I have just started promoting WSO's on my blog as well by doing reviews for my subscribers and blog viewers which is great because I am offering them a great deal at $20 for a software program thst sells for $50 outside the forum. So.. my followers know I am looking out for them and getting them the best deals.

Yeah, you can advertise wherever you want. In fact Tim Atkinson's last WSO (or one of his last ones) was all about how he made a gagillion dollars promoting his WSO on Facebook...and if you are smart you will be an affiliate of it and promote it there too. The only issue is that you will only make half as much
