I'm new here. I would like to become a ghost writer and some advice on selling my services as a writer. I enjoy writing and would like to help someone out.

There are many people on this forum that do very well as a ghost writer.

Just search the forum for "ghost writing", or "writing services". Also you can do some WSO, Warrior Special Offers, offering some of your articles for sale...if they're any good, you can do well and make contacts.

I have been writing small poems and stories throughout the years. I have had agencies use my poems for their purposes. One of these agencies that have used my poems is the YWCA in Omaha, NE.

  • Welcome Mystical,

Yes, like Nebraska Suggested, a simple search will give you that much needed light to follow. It is always suggest that develop relationships here, build trust and reputation on this forum.

Like My friend Tony Thomas told me once, good relationships can be formed even if you start offering your services for a start, if you already got some gigs off this forum itself.

    Wishing you all the best.

    Hi mystical,

Look for posts by forum members Bev Clement, Tiffany Dow and Angela Booth. All former or present ghostwriters who offer courses or products on the subject, and all well worth listening to.

    Good luck.

    gerry5,

Getting a little off topic, and not really something to do with this forum, but...

The Writers Store has several good guide books to formatting:
Writers Store: Search Results for "tv format"

Also, Scriptwriters Network has an online guide that you might find helpful:
The Scriptwriters Network - Television Script Format

    Hi,

You can sign up in different outsourcing services such as elance.com, guru.com or RentaCoder. I personnaly prefer elance.

You can also post your services on foruns like this one as marketeers are always looking for ghostwriters...

    Best of Luck,
    Dan

Hi Mystical. As a current ghostwriter I would recommend starting off slowly. Write on the cheap for Warriors for a couple weeks and start to build a reputation.

To gerry5, you are talking about something totally different. That's a tough nut to crack. But the best resource on the Web is bksp.org (not an affiliate link).

There are many accomplished writers and authors on that site. It's like WF for writers.

    Hope that helps...

    Chai
