Try Squidoo.com, they are a pretty cool place to build a site, and they host it. Plus you can get money if you get enough traffic which is cool

If only "look" of of your sites is what bothers you then simply use a good looking WP theme. There are plenty of them for free, just google for "free wordpress themes".

Just to name a few sites where you can download some:

If your Wordpress sites look boring, just change the theme. It's easy. Find a good theme and if you need a nice header, just look in Warriors for Hire or Fiverr for someone to do a nice header for it.

I am sure with your very little knowledge in werdpress you can make wonders.. Try out some free site building tools like yola site, or some simple blogsopt or a wordpress blog! Simple html templates are also available, you can give a try on it!!!

I use Webs - Make a free website, get free hosting for a lot of sites. (Hobby sites and such.)

You can also upgrade and convert it to a paid site through freewebs later if you want to.

The sites are templates, and they are edited online, so there's no software to download.

Very, very simple and I've used them a lot.

  It depends on what type of site you want. For blogs, a free wordpress.com or blogger.com blog is the best you can do. If you want to set up a web store then ebay is great for a small number of items. 1and1.ca is also great along with yahoo stores.

Honestly, having a free site will get you nowhere. If you want to start a business, get $50 in your pocket, purchase some cheap hosting, a domain and some other things you may need.

Jeremy, what are you good at? You could partner up or exchange services with someone. They build you a website and you provide something in return that you're good and they are in need of. You're advertising writing services in your signature so find someone who is good at building websites or Wordpress that stinks at writing who needs an eBook or report written. Exchange services....it's a WIN / WIN for you both. You get a free site, they get what they needed.

Jeremy, I'd ditch that theme as it's been used thousands of times. Plus a guy walking on the road has no relevance, unless you're trying to portray that his car broke down and needs repaired. Do a Google search and there is a ton of free themes (just be cautious the ones you choose). WooThemes has a few free ones too.

Also if what you're wanting to do is have a directory of the car repair shops, then you could use a WP directory plugin so that you can easily manage it, and it's an easy layout for your viewers to use. You will also be able to have others easily add their links to your directory as well, which will help automate it and make it easier on yourself rather than adding them in manually. I'd do a free listing to your directory, but also offer a few paid featured listings in the different categories.

Try Hubpages.com or Wordpress.com. You can create free websites there. Speaking of Wordpress, I notice that the site you created for Fort Worth Car Repair is the default template given when you create Wordpress website. Do a search for 'free wordpress templates' either on Google or from within your website and you'll find plenty of good templates. Make sure you change the pics to be consistent with your Car Repair theme.

I have a site on Tumblr that makes regular $100 sales.

It's an awesome platform but the thing is you have to be ultra careful and ensure you post only super high quality material.

If they get the slightest sniff a site is spammy, excessively self promoting and wotnot they'll shut it down without a word.

That said from what I can gather they have no intrinsic problem with self promotion as long as it's done in good taste, eg. Gary Vaynerchuk

They also have no problem with you running ads, again if your site is good, e.g. Clients From Hell

So Tumblr is free and awesome, but your site has to absolutely be squeaky clean.

you can use WYSIWYG web editor...it's just easy drag 'n drop and you can create websites in just minutes...

it's not like weebly or anything, you ca have your own site hosted...so ya google it
