Street Articles is owned by the boys at Wealthy Affiliate. I am pretty sure they aren't going too badly. I put a few up months ago and they had instant approval and OK traffic still trickles. But there's heaps.

Yea that's me. Just heard it recommended and it's all I thought of too. But yea I still don't venture far from EZA either and I have never been involved with WA so I don't know so much about them.

I had not heard of that one before, had a look and it looks quite nice and professional, however, they have not made the article syndication very easy. I just could not find the syndication page where is the Ezine Version of the article, html and plain text version of it. I think it is very important that article syndication is made as easy as possible for potential syndicators as that can really help to get your articles out there.

Why so quick to dismiss articlebase?

Other than ezine thats my favorite. I agree there is some questionable content on the site, but as long as you write well thats all that matters.

My articles always rank good in Google from articlebase too, they don't stay at the top very long, but thats why you gotta keep crankin em out.

I found this thread because I was looking for information on a site I just found called Street Directory -which is not the same as Street Articles (which led me here). I haven't submitted anything there yet, but it looks promising, a little like the About.com site (which is pretty limited as far as topics they accept). I prefer sites that look more like legitimate sources of information rather than article directories created for marketers. Has anyone used Street Directory?

The article directories that I use change over time, for example, I used to use Buzzle and Associated Content, but they became a real pain in the a$$ so I stopped using them. There are some, though, that I use consistently (in no particular order):

E-zine Articles (http://ezinearticles.com/) Still works beautifully for us regardless of any Google updates. Consistency and original, valuable, but incomplete content is what's going to work here (actually any directory).

Idea Marketers (http://www.ideamarketers.com/) Still gives me juice after all these years.

Website Articles (http://www.website-articles.net/) I really like this directory for 3 very distinct reasons:

    1. The owner Allen Graves is a straight up guy and one of us (he's been a Warrior in good standing for years).
    2. No ads on your articles (my CTRs blow away EZA in nearly every niche I'm in - I can't believe I just wrote that in a public forum....lol).
    3. The Article Marketing Handbook he provides is top notch.

    Article Base (http://www.articlesbase.com/)

Search Warp (http://searchwarp.com/) Takes forever for articles to get approved sometimes and can be a pain the @#$%, but my articles consistently get a lot of traffic from there, so I put up with them.

Article Alley (http://www.articlealley.com/) Not great, not bad, still use them with decent results.

Go Articles (http://goarticles.com/) Still working for us after all these years.

Amazines (http://www.amazines.com/) The "ugly" directory that keeps on giving after all these years. I've got articles from 8 years ago still getting traffic.

Not a comprehensive list for sure, I also left out niche websites and blogs you can submit to and I didn't list any document sharing websites as they are not article directories.

A few things to think about:

    1. Submitting to article directories is only one small aspect of article marketing.
    2. Don't expect to get great results with only a handful of articles by just submitting to article directories, it's going to take a lot of articles in most instances.
    3. Learn how to use press releases for your business. Fellow Warrioress Dana Wilhoit is pure genius when it comes to press releases: http://www.thepressreleasesite.com/
    4. Look into using automation software to help you with your video submissions, article submissions, podcast submissions, RSS submissions, etc. SE Nuke and Incansoft products are just the tip of the iceberg, as there's a lot of them out there.

Lastly, never stop promoting your business until you start getting the traffic and results that you want!

    Enjoy!
