While much is being said about making money flipping website and domain, I wish to point out the following fundamentals of site flipping and domains: 1. You must register a domain that is typo-generic 2. Your domain must not contain cybersquatting 3. You must have a real and human whois: name, address and phone 4. You must research for a niche that is hungry and ready to throw money at you 5. You must know how to set up a site at least using turnkey sites and software at least a blog 6. You must learn how to transfer a backed up site content at least blog in zip file and send to your buyer. 7. You should be able to add unique content on your blog or site 8. You should be able to know who a genuine buyer is from a seeming scammer 9. You should be able to negotiate a good price and 10 You are on your way to making money from site and domain flipping |

Ok Cybersquatting: This is a term used when you register a domain that belongs to another person or company;s brand or trade name. For example, you cannot register a domain that is bearing paypal or ebay or pepsi or nokia added to another word or number and sell it. 2. Typo-Generic means when you think of a name, instead of typing or searhing it on your search engine like google eg searching for forextrading.com on google, you can type it straight on your browser. e.g Ilovegod.com, Imakemoney.com, besthealthtips.com. Instead of searching on google, you can type it directly on your browser and site comes up. That is typo-genric. |

Thanks for clearing that up. Type-In-Generic maybe a better description for those type of domain names. Typo generally refers to misspelling a word, and that's what lead to my confusion. I own over 100 Type-In-Generic domain names, so I understand the potential of that concept. Cheers, KJ |

Thanks for the nice tips. I just wanted to clarify on #4: no matter what niche you can think of, there's probably going to be a market for it. Whether it be online video games, pottery, or trading options, etc. As long as people know that they want or need something, then they're probably going to search it up online. If you create a website entitled "How to save money by insulating your house with bubble wrap", nobody is going to search those keywords. Curtis |

Hi. I am a little slow here, so I have still problem understanding what you meant by "typo-Generic" or Type-In-Generic" domain. Can someone give me an exsample of an non "typo-Generic" domain name. Maybe I will understand it better then. ![]() Quote:

If I was looking for hippopotamus diapers, and typed in hippopotamus diapers into the address bar instead of the search box, and hippopotamus diapers.com came up, that would be an example of a type-in generic domain. If a domain selling hippopotamus diapers went by the name of packyderm-pampers.com it would never show up under the same keywords. The advantage to the type-in domain is basically that some people type their search query into the address bar directly. KJ | |

Yes when you outsourse, you are ready to spend money. When starting, you outsource. When experienced you do your things... This makes your work unique. Recycling plr articles isn't bad, but the problem is your content tend to have a major common words if used by newbies and those who just want to put together in a hurry just what they outsourced without altering. |
