PayPal 21 Day Hold

Anyone know any tips on how to avoid this? I'm selling a product on Ebay and get hit with a 21 day hold everytime it sells..

To make matters worse...I've got a few that have been held for a little over 21 days without being released.

Do they do it by category...product title...?

Anyone have any insights?

I know that paypal have been extremely awful with this kind of thing and must be really frustrating, Have you thought about having multiple paypal accounts? Might help if one goes down. it would depend on what you are selling as well, if you have delivery issues etc, paypal will always benefit the customer and screw the seller unfortunately.

They watch some products more than others due to fraud. The best course of action is to find someone there to talk to, moving up the food chain if you can, and let them know that you're 100% legit (you are, right?). It's also a good idea to let them know ahead of a product launch so that know that the spurt of activity is legit.

Have you thought about having multiple paypal accounts?

That generally violates their terms of service. You are permitted one personal account and one business account. That's it. If you have more, you run the risk of having them all disabled if they find out.

Yeah, I've got PayPal on speed dial. I always inform them of new products and expected income to try and avoid these situations.

I find a phone call to PayPal usually does the trick in getting funds released. I've had to do this a few times.

Thanks for the information. I was looking for that phone number. I've had only minor issues with them.

The fee's are way too high.
