How is your confirmation rate? For double-opt in guys..

Hello warriors,

I have a question for marketers using double-opt in for building their lists..
What kind of confirmation % you get? And if you can share any tips for
getting a high % confirmed subscribers that would be perfect..

Mine is around 75%.. Is that good or bad? I believe it can be better..

    I don't know my latest numbers, but I know it tends to be very high--in the 90's. I think a good part of that is I personalize the confirmation message to give them more info & remind them of why they're signing up.

    Because how often do you not go back to your email box right away after opt-in in? For me, I know it can be hours or even several days later when I come across the confirm message and I'll be scratching my head trying to remember what it was for again.

    I also don't use the email to subscribe feature. One time I did that for a free teleseminar I was promoting and my confirmation rate was abysmal. I was mystified until I realized when you do that, you don't end up going to a page that says "please check your inbox for an email to confirm."

    Yes, those pages have gotten rather ubiquitous but I think the fact they didn't see that like usual made them think they were already fully subscribed and didn't need to confirm.
