SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

HI,
I am a newbie and i dont know how to get any traffic to my blog,i am trying to promote an affiliate product via my blog but i dont know where to start,i need someone to hold my hand and take me through the initial stages,i dont care how much i make at this moment in time,just want to be shown some kind of blueprint which can be expanded on,any contribution will be very helpful and i'll keep everyone informed of my success or failure

No you don't. You simply need to learn some of the basics and build from there. For starters:

- Learn to use the forum search function. You'll find answers to most, if not all, of your basic questions that way. Once you learn the basics, you can ask better questions.

- Learn to write better subject lines for your posts. Instead of "SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME," try something like "How do I increase traffic to my blog," or "How can I increase conversions for this affiliate product?" That way, you'll more likely attract members who can help with that particular question, rather than just pass over the thread. This will also help you improve your article writing, headlines, ads, etc.

- Focus. Pick one thing and concentrate on it before moving on to something else. For example, you could work on the content of your blog, or generating traffic, or article writing, etc. Try to get good, or at least competent (or at the very least, comfortable) with something before moving on to something else.

Oh, and believe in yourself, and give yourself an honest chance.

Do something. Reading is great. Learning is awesome. But you have to take some action everyday to get the traffic to your blog.

You could start by creating a signature.

When you first come to a frum you want to start adding value to the forum and a great way to do so is to look at the problems people are having and help thekm out by providing them with a solution.

How would you go about doing that if you seen another post that said help me please and you knew nothing about the topic that the person needed help with yet you wanted to provide value by helping that person out?

You would quick go and start doing research on how to Increase traffic to my blog (Which by the way would get more attention like Mike has already stated) Then you would come back and give your findings. Not only did you just provide some value and help. but you just learned something in the process.

When I looked at the comments at first they come accross as really pretty uncaring but actually they are some pretty good advice for you to follow. It is the same thing I would tell my coaching students who answer me with I am new and I need you to hold my hand through the process. I would rather see you build some confidence by having to dig in and do a little bit of the work first and prove to yourself that you really don't need to be hand held.

I remember when I first got started I would tell my son Keith Wellman that I just couldn't do it and would want him to immediatly show me how. His response was always Dad stop and think about how you can go about figuring that out without my help first and once you got a general direction I will show you how to tweek it and make it even better.

Do a google search and you get Results 1 - 10 of about 12,200,000 on how do i get traffic to my blog. Some of them results will even lead you to posts in forums that will help you do your research.

Hope it helps as you can see I had to create a new account so I only have 910 post lol so just like you I have to strat out all over again and just provide value to the forum in any way I can

Here's a tip that is working for me:

Sign up at mybloglog.com and make a profile and put your blog up there and visit other blogs whilst signed in. You will show up as a visitor and the visitors to that blog will visit your profile and blog. Add them to contents. Search engines are there, forums are there, social bookmarking sites are there. Try and you will definitely find what you are looking for! This is something extra ordinary tough or out of this world. Welcome to the warrior forum.

I think Jared's post would get you off to a good start and also
check out the Untapped Link Building Strategies in his sig file.

I would also suggest using the search function as you can find
endless info on driving traffic, you just have to start digging.

All you really need to do is use the information and advise here
and put it together as a strategic marketing plan for your blog
that requires daily action. Create your own unique blueprint.

as a newbie also - it takes patience and persistence, but it does happen. Get into a lot of forums, read and add little notes on others blogs, add content to your blog everyday. Than tomorrow - get up and do it all over again.

The main thing is to make sure you take action everyday.

Creating great content is just as important as creating all those backlinks.

Also, put a bit of time each day to learn. If you do a little bit every day it all adds up by years end.

Articles are a good way to get traffic. just take your time and soak up the knowledge.

Axeray makes a good critical point: take action!

Like browsing through the forum post topics for at least a half-hour a day and jot down things that sound interesting to you.

You could even open up Notepad, then copy and paste snippets of stuff you find that looks interesting. Then a week or so later, go back through what you copied and it may give you some good ideas of what you would like to do next.
