Increasing Your Article Views

For anyone struggling to increase the views on their articles, try this: Create a short video that is related to your article, put in your article link to the video description and post the video on as many video directories as possible.

This may take some work, but you will definitely see a sharp increase in QUALITY traffic to your articles..

One thing you could add to that is to make one of your resource box links point to the URL of your video on youtube, and a lot of times your video will get a top 10 ranking with just a few backlinks. Youtube videos are about 100x easier to get ranked than a web page.

Could you please elaborate on this? You mean to say we add out video links to the article as well?

          Why would you do this?

Surely, it is more productive to point people who view your videos directly to your web site.

A normal click-through rate from a video is 8 - 12%, For ease of calculation, let's say 10%. So, that's 90% of potential customers lost at that first hurdle, but that's standard

I assume that the author bio box on your article WILL be pointing to your web site, and again, let's say 10% of the 10% arriving there from your video, then click through to your web site. That's a whopping 1% of potential viewers of your video.

So, my question is, why on earth would you send them on that long, drawn out route, when you could have sent that original 10% directly to your web site?

As far as cold, hard cash is concerned, all you are doing is sending them to make the article directory money when the lost percentage click on their links.

Just doesn't make any sense to me.

I agree with Annie here - Assuming that when you say "Articles" you mean articles distributed somewhere else than on your own site.

Make it easy for people to get to your own site. Videos -> Squeeze page (or at least your own property)

Another tip is to make the video so it pre-sells your article. Then give a short teaser of the article and send them to your blog to read the rest.

Aside from video, you can also create an audio for your article to increase its views. Same principle with what David Morris have said.

Which video directories do you use? I had like 15 videos but the affiliate offers for them expired so I had to take them offline. I should make new ones for new offers.

I exclusively upload to youtube, although I do upload to metacafe and google for search engine exposure.

I been doing this for years.

Here is how to ramp it up.

When you upload yoru video make use of keywords.

Put keywords in title, and then in description and also at the end of your description.

    and also in your tags.

If you do this properly you will get more traffic to your videos, guarenteed. Especially if it is a hot topic that is getting talked about alot.
