Buying multiple exact match keyword domains for combined traffic.

I have found several exact match keywords using the Google keyword tool.
Mickey Mouse replaces the real domain names and the traffic counts are for the exact keyword phrase match:

MickeyMouseFantasia.com 4400
MickeyMousePicture.com 210
MouseMickey.com 320
MickeyMouseShot.com 590
MickeyMouseSteamBoatWillie 1000
MickeyMouseAndMinnieMouse.com 1300
MickeyMouseBlog 480

The combined traffic is 8300/month

I want to buy "MickeyMouseFantasia.com" since it has the most traffic.

Would a good idea to buy the rest of the domains to funnel traffic to the main site

You could do that - you know the answer yourself. Today you could probably rank with those keywords and get those visitors.

Personally I wouldn't do it, as I am not a believer in keyword matching domains. During the next 1-2 years I am convinced that will mean less and less in the rankings..

EDIT: Listen to Alexa Smith ;-)

Sure, just get permission from Disney first or hope they don't care.

Yes its a good idea to buy just one. I do it all the time for related keywords like this. Usually its very high competition and there's no domains available so I go with something like mickeymousehq.com or mickeymousecenter.com or anything like that.

So buy the one with the most searches, then just do sub pages for the additional keywords.

Having it all on one site, will yield alot of benefits and will help the keywords you add to rank more easily. Also exact match domains arent as powerful as they once were.

I struggled with the same issue when I was getting used to SEO, and these days I would say that the bonus of an EDM does not outweigh the negative of having to manage 7+ different mini websites, in my opinion.

Of course, it may be worth it for some people. I couldn't stand it, though.

I would maybe grab the top 2 or 3 out of them and make sure that ALL of them have good content on there. If you are just making the sites up to game the search engines then any listings that you DO get won't stick that well.
