Just want to know why the only payment method for all wso is paypal.there are certainly many people on the board who want to purchase any wso and are from ineligible countries so they are unable to do it.

Not only wso-s;I noticed a lot of services connected to some forum members where also the only payment method is paypal... or I am missing something?!

    Yes I also notice this.

My paypal account was terminated and I don't think they will accept my credit card anymore so I can't buy some stuff I want just because the seller only take paypal payments.

And I think warriors should listen to those who has their paypal account limited and terminated and start to differentiate their payment methods instead of just relying on one payment processor.

His point is that the majority only accept paypal which is true...

As a business, I only accept paypal and I've only encountered small amounts of people who wanted an alternate payment plan. For me, I use paypal because it's easy for me to figure out monthly quotas and such. I'm not saying another company isn't capable of it but I've personally never had any problems.

Well I think you shouldn't wait for any problems to occur, better be ready than sorry.

I can somehow understand this wso selective payment system.A small number of countries that are ineligible for paypal, easy to maintain, who cares about 100 dollars less if one earn a couple of thousands and don't have to bother with credit cards.

But I really do not understand and get it when it comes to membership sites with fees 30 and up monthly for competitive terms, first result on google serp and still they have paypal as the only payment option. One can think that is quite unprofessional.Should it their businesses to be taken seriously,I am not sure.

Everybody is now aware of big importance of customer support.I was a member of a membership site for 4,5 months(not cheap) and they send to me even today after almost two years high quality magazines.that's the way to go and those guys will succeed in the long run.

Yes I know one can say:who cares about some guys from the country I don't even know it's name.it's not like that obviously, one may earn decent money from selling there service to users of that country in a couple of years.

Internet is evolving day by day,it should be made some improvement.

What about google checkout and 2co,that's easy to maintain too I think.

There must be some adequate solution for this issue.

I agree with you. I have never encountered problems with paypal yet. I use it with my online business.

        Word for today: "yet"

I had been selling with paypal for 3 yrs.. but they don't care about the age of your account, your sales, nothing.. i looked at fastspring and all i can say is WOW..

Paypal might have some REAL competition.. have a look at this video

Incredible in my opinion, automatic up-sell integration, CPA integration, Exit Pops intergration, Google analytics! whaoo, i just want paypal to not monopolize this industry. Once paypal has good competition they will stop all this crap, but its up to us, the merchant to help support online payment proccessors, i think its high time!

Paypal is "burning bridges" and digging a grave (1000's of ebay marketers would defiantly agree) and as the word gets out I believe we will witness many fresh new processing companies making it effortless for online marketers to set up services/digital products online. There is to much money in this business and with the "new" economy, more & more marketers are going to demand as such.

*All in one gateway + proccessors (like paypal)
        Alert Pay
        2CO
        FastSpring
        Plimus
        Google Checkout

**I have some of the above and have also been Approved for Authorize Net as a back up. They are more expensive but should be in your grasp if needed. 1ShoppingCart is my Gateway.

Because the person selling a product gets to dictate how you are allowed to pay for it.

There is no rule or requirement about payment methods in the WSO forum. WSO vendors can accept payment however they want.

Has anybody considered AlertPay? They are a large player in the online payment processor game. I am upgrading my account to business level soon, to accept payments on a membership site, in alternative for those who cannot access PayPal, or have been banned.

I use Paypal for my WSO's and to be honest with you, most of the countries that Paypal do not support are countries I would not want to be selling to anyway. So it's of no loss to me. They are mostly higher risk countries and not worth the effort.

If you can do ALL online transactions successfully from countries not listed in PAYPAL then the problem is with PAYPAL and not that countries. They shouldn't be claimed to be high risk or don't worth the effort.

There are a lot of TRUSTED and Better payment processors alternatives.

There are countries that are much higher risk and a lot more likely to have fraudulent transactions. That is why Paypal will not bother with some countries and why I wouldn't want to either. It is not worth the trouble.

A lot of other payment processors also have lists of countries that they ban also. It's not just Paypal.

I was talking about countries that are supported by ALL other payment processors except PAYPAL.

Well that's part of their risk management assessment so we can't blame them for it. At the end of the day it is a commercial decision, and there may be more fraud losses there vs revenue so it just doesn't make sense.

I think, Alertpay should be used as an Alertnative option along with Paypal for those who cannot pay with paypal. In our Country India, RBI has imposed some restrictions on paypal like--> We cannot send money or purchase anything without attaching a Credit card to our account. Now here Students do not get a credit card as it requires income proof or a Fixed deposit account with some 50k INR. balance. Now there aren't many people who could afford such amount. Alertpay can be a good alternative source of payment for warriors here. Recently Paypal blocked my account just because I clicked on the purchase WSO link and they thought my account is having some suspicious activity :|.

Because Paypal is most convenient way of accepting and sending payments. But you can accept payments via AP and CC too.

I agree, paypal can be a damn pain sometimes with their "limiting accounts over $5 and such." This is exactly why WSOpro should support other payment methods. Even though the numbers are small, it would definitely be a worthwhile investment even if 1 or 2 extra sales were the result.

I've also been using AlertPay occasionally for 3 years, and I like it.

Several of the people posting above don't seem to appreciate that this has nothing to do with the forum at all.

It's up to the person selling each WSO what payment method(s) s/he wants to use.

The forum is simply selling advertising space and is not involved in the transaction in any way.

FastSpring and Plimus are 2 great alternatives! I think it's better to use this kind of 3rd party payment processors! 'Cause if your service/product gets tons of sales paypal may block your account!

For Fastspring service they replied to me before that they don't support internet marketing and related services, such as SEO, link building, etc. at this time.

This is still a problem with some of the recommended PP alternatives. Plus, I hate it when they put every single thing which is both business related and online in MMO category.

Thanks, i will give them a call and ask them about there definitions, sounds like they want a downloadable product, ie: ebook? If that is the case you could offer a newsletter membership and simple give an ebook away along with your service or something to that extent.

Right now they are still reviewing my application. I will report back here once i get clarification. But i find it odd the they would show "share a sale" and speak about exit popups, etc and not except "normal" online businesses. A line needs to be drawn and definitions need to be explained to me on this.
