Another Wordpress Question

Hello again World. As I learn more and more about Wordpress, I've come to another slight roadblock. This time it's about sales pages. I have a PLR product related to my site and I was wondering how I would go about setting it up as a separate page with the sales page and thank you/download page on there. Would I need to buy another URL? Please help, hope this isn't too confusing.

    Hi

You can set up the salespage as a static page and have the thank you/download page sent separately through Paypal when you set up the 'Buy Now' button.

Thanks, but how do I set up a static page so that it isn't the front page?

    Need more information!

Do you want to be able to link to it from WP? Do you want it to look like your blog theme? Will it be a WP page or Html?

You can create the pages from your admin area .. They do not have to be the main page.

I think you might be confusing Wordpress (software) with your domain (web space).

I guess you are using Wordpress for your main site on, say, www.mywebsite.com

For your sales page you could add a subdomain, say www.salespage.mywebsite.com

For the sales page you could design a page in Kompozer (or any other web design package) and ftp it to the subdomain.

You can then add your thank you page (and any other) to this sub domain.

    Does that make sense?

rosetrees is correct, you can just create a "static" page for your sales page and a separate (non-wordpress) page for the download info.

To make your sales page a "Static" page, go to your dashboard and click on Write Pages - create the sales page - name it and save it - then go to settings - reading - check "a static page" - then choose your sales page from the drop down menu - save changes.

    Hope that helps,
