JV Approaching Strategy?

Well I came up with my product, and I'm working on JV strategy. I created an optin form and it turns out that optin forms on blogs and popups are not converting in my niche. Only the opt-in pages like this are converting:

Traffic generation is a whole lot of pain. Recently I sent an email to a partner, who has a list of 45000 people. He told me that it doesn't matter even if I have a big list, JV partners are looking for high ticket products like $1997 or $2997 that can convert and have a low refund rate.

Most of the people asked for a review copy, since the product is very big, I sent them a brosure kind a thing that shows what's included. Most of them said no even before seeing it. But most people who saw it said yes. (only 3 who have a list above 10000)

My product will be priced $497 and $997 (there are two versions)

I tried hard to convince them that I will promote their product too.

I have no list. Just 1000 people have opted in yet.

I'm continuously creating free content and some pre-launch videos.

This is my first big launch and I'm tired of selling $47 video series and low value content, it doesn't pay what I actually wanted. Enough is enough and I'm no longer selling low value product, instead of selling $47 products, I'll give it away for free and plan to sell one big premium product.

It took me almost 9 months to create the content of this product.
I have spend most of my savings on buying some clicks, websites development, product development, coaching, buying information products and copywriter since I'm dyslexic and cannot write an IM standard copy without editing it at least 2-3 times.

I'm totally depended on this launch.

So my question is, what type of product attracts JV partners?

Where do you meet JV partners? How do you convince them that you are worth their efforts?

How do you build social proof? What is your advice on this launch?

I hope we have an intelligent discussion here.

Please help.

How to Approach Potential Partners With an Irresistible Offer...

Remember this: You're not the only one contacting the potential JV partners and asking them to work with you. Indeed, you probably are even NOT the only one TODAY.

Some of the best marketers get dozens of offers by email, postal mail, and phone each week - and that means your offer needs to stand out if you want it to be considered.

    How do you do that?

Here are a few suggestions and issues for you to consider...
    • Make your offer extraordinary by going above the "standard" offers in your niche.
    • Make sure it's clear that your potential partner gets the best end of the deal! In other words, slant the deal towards your partner. Remember: He doesn't need you as much as you need him.
    • Offer something new. Don't send the same ol' same ol' "joint venture" offer that is really just an invitation to become your affiliate.
    • Go out of your way to make it easy for your potential partner to accept your offer. Show him that his participation is minimal but that he can expect maximum reward.
    • Related to the last point where your offer requires very little effort, you should make sure any offer - especially if this is the first time working with a partner - doesn't require much time either from the potential partner.
    • Copywriting rules apply! If you're sending out a joint venture proposal by email or postal mail, make absolutely sure that it's oriented towards your reader and packed with benefits. He'll wonder "what's in it for me?" when he starts reading your letter - and your letter needs to answer that... immediately!
    • Go ahead and use social proof in the form of name-dropping. If you've already secured a few well-known partners, tell other potential partners who they are.
    • Whenever possible, build relationships with partners first BEFORE proposing joint ventures. Your potential JV partners are much more likely to say yes to any request if they already know you.
    • After all, most people would choose to work with a friend first, then an acquaintance, with strangers on the bottom of the list. If you take yourself out of the "stranger" category, you'll do better.
    • Ask your current partners for introductions to potential future partners. Doing so takes you out of the "stranger" category and into the "mutual acquaintance" category.

Now that you know where to find potential partners and how to approach them, there's another question you're likely asking. Namely, what sort of joint venture can you do together? The answer is simple: Anything that provides mutual benefit for you and your partners.

That includes but is in no way limited to:
    • Standard affiliate partner arrangements where one partner promotes the other partner's product or service in exchange for a commission.
    • 100% commission arrangements where one partner promotes the other partner's product for 100% of the profits. In exchange, the product creator is building a mailing list and a customer list from all the traffic.
    • Link exchanges on your regular site, your blog, your forum, etc.
    • Exchanging testimonials on each other's products (provided both products are worthy of good testimonials).
    • Swapping endorsements in each other's newsletter.
    • Putting each other's links on the other person's subscription confirmation page or product thank you pages.
    • Swapping articles to post on each other's sites.
    • Taking turns being guest bloggers on each other's blogs.
    • Creating a product together.
    • Doing a postal mailing together.
    • Giving discount coupons that can only be used by the partner's customers and subscribers.

    ...and so on.

The possibilities are endless - online and offline!

You're sucking wind because of your headline:

Direct Your Emotions Towards The Reason Why You're Perusing Your Ambition

I look at this, shrug and click away. What the hell does it mean? I have no idea. If you want to attract partners give 'em something they'll understand. Someone sees this and they're going to run because it's likely they won't get it either. And if they don't get it, the people on their list won't either. Remember this: A confused mind always says no. Good luck.

that is not a headline. It is some piece of content from the video I'm walking people through. I forgot to pause the video before capturing it.

    What niche are you in?

The best way to get JV partners is to first create some kind of relationship without trying hard to get them to promote your stuff. Offering something for free, free tips or any help can establish a great relationship. I would never send random email to random people asking to promote my products, the success rate is just so low. Physical mails tend to do much better in this approach but still I would first build a good relationship with potential JV partner and try to help him out in something. He will naturally ask you what you're doing and partnership will form naturally.

The main niche is success skills + life transition, but the product also covers:

      assertive trainings and tools
      motivation
      brain enhancement
      mastering physiology
      emotional intelligence
      executive coaching
      peak performance
      time mastery skills
      ______________

The product covers these important topics in a rhythm on level basis. The first framework is easy, second is a little hard and so on.

The product contains several videos, mindmaps, some other audio training, action plans and exercises, live calls, webinar which I did previously, some mp3 and manuals for each framework.

Also people can download the product, download the mp3 version of the videos or webinar or mind maps.

I have also created quick flash cards to help people with emotional intelligence.

There are more than 8 frameworks and I'm building 4 more. I'm afraid that the training is a bit tooooooooo long. But the results I promised them that they it will change their life will only be possible if they go through the training step by step.

I'm also launching an app so that we can keep track of the actions they have taken.

      I'm targeting entrepreneurs.

I have created 10 twenty minutes videos with action plan which I'm distributing via traffic geyser. But the prelaunch will only have 4 videos in which I'm going to give some of the best content as it is necessary to deliver results, so that they can trust that they will be benefited if they'll buy the product.

So that is it, there is my niche, my product and free stuff.

Go to seminars and events. Meet your favorite gurus in person. Become their friends. Become friends of their friends. Become friends of their friends, friends.

Easy. You'll never have to worry about JV's again.

Sometimes, getting on a plane and flying to a few events is the easiest thing you can do to get in the middle.

    6-months ago, I didn't know a single guru.

This weekend, I threw a mastermind in LA with 20 top Internet marketers and entrepreneurs including the owner of flippa/sitepoint/99designs, the original creator of MySpace... basically, about 20+ multi-millionaire dudes who know their **** really well.

It wasn't that hard to do. Today, I have absolutely no problem finding big JV partners and I eat lunch with top a-listers every week.

I'm not saying it's easy if you live in missouri or something where you don't have access to those sorts of people... but, you really need to get out there and become a real face to people. They'll remember you and you'll start to gain some traction in the community as a noteworthy person.

Russell Brunson has talked a lot about JV scouting. He says, pick 100 ideal partners. Go down the list, ask every single one. They'll all say no! BUT, the moment ONE says yes, leverage that YES with the next one on your list, and they'll now say YES, too!

Then, circle back down your list again and start leveraging all your YES's with the same people who previously turned you down and you'll start hearing almost all yes's from then on. It's like getting "IN" with the "IN" crowd. You just need to be friends with one popular kid to become friends with ALL the popular kids.

Thanks, that is an awesome advice. Did you went to that golden mastermind on 30 july? It was in LA too.

I'm launching an event in November this year in San Francisco. I'll try to go to some seminar events.

That is the best advice I have ever heard about getting JV Partners on board . You get a much better response when you have had a face to face interaction

They can put a name behind the face and if your product convert they will promote you

What gerry c shared is the most effective way apart from your JV partner recruiting more JV Friends on their behalf

I went to seminar in London mentioned Tom Hua and he mentioned that same Strategy . You just need one of the top guys to say yes and then you can drop names of people who are already onboard .

people are more likely to JV when they know their buddies are doing the same

I am going to suggest another way for them . Create a top notch product for them , give them the right , let them take 100% commisions and you keep the buyers list and have your name mentioned as a co -creator of the product

People will get to see you name and your a list partner would bring his A list friend on board and build a massive buyers list for you , you do an internal launch with this list for future product

Attend adtech ... you would some amazing people there

      All the best ...

I just don't get it with these 'life skills' programs and products. Why would someone pay $500 for some information put together by someone they don't know when they could buy a book written by Warren Buffet or Donald Trump for $15? People who got rich not by teaching, but by doing.

why would people go to Tony Robbins seminar and spend $1000 to $3000 while they can buy some of his audio tape or just buy a $20 book?

Why would people buy Eben Pagan's self made wealth while they can buy Buffets book?

Why would people buy Brendon Burchard's $1997 expert's academy while they can buy HIS $20 book.

Why will people spend $997 on Frank Kern promotional strategies while they can buy his un-named book or just copy his emails?

Why will people spend $1000 to $3000 on a personal growth seminars like high performance academy of Brendon Burchard while they can buy a $20 book written by Tim Ferris?

Why will people spend $10,000 (which include myself) on seminars like Millionaire marketing formula while they can buy a $97 product or some $200 product?

If you want to flip $20 ebook, it is okay because there is a market for that. But there is a market for high value primium products too.

just because you are not the target audience, everyone else is a sucker? The people who buy high priced products are the one who can afford it. Rest of the people can blame big gurus and they keep on flipping $7 ebooks and wonder why they cannot make a decent income online.
