Are Affiliate Requirements Becoming More Strict?

I opened my email today to find several messages from my affiliate networks requiring my attention. They all want me to verify that I have clearly displayed statements saying that I make a commission from affiliate sales. Clickbank has new terms and conditions and Amazon no long allows CA affiliates?!? What is going on here? Has there been some recent legislation that has brought all of this to light or what?

Simply add a disclosure page to your sites saying you receive compensation for the products you promote on this website. I'm assuming that will work.

They are simply enforcing the new FTC guidelines about marketing on the internet.

One of the new rules in the past few weeks or months is that if you decide to write a review for a product, you need to disclose that you are an affiliate and that you will earn a portion of that sale.

You can add something like this:

All of the links on this website are affiliate links. This means that if you buy a product through these links, just know that I will receive a commission for the sale.

If you do this, you should be OK.

There are also new rules for VENDORS on clickbank that they just posted on their site so you should also follow these rules.
