I have 3 original music albums, what to do?

I have 3 original music albums I made about 3 years ago with my electric bass, they are not best quality, and all instrumental, but they are 100% original and created by me
Should I offer them as freebie or would they worth 3$?

My first inclination would be to tell you that in a world filled with people who can't muster up the $1.20 to buy a single song from itunes, good luck trying to sell a whole album for $3.

Of course, I've also seen indie bands garner $5 for their demo cd's after their shows with ease, and of course they sell out.

That said, why exactly would you give it away as a freebie? Do you have some marketing motive behind doing so? Are you trying to build your name in a certain music community? Of course you may not even have a marketing motive and just want someone else to hear your music.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Hey dude! I used to be a professional musician and have a bunch of recordings that I'd like to do something with as well.

There are a number of things you can do.

You can sell your music on sites like bandcamp.com, but you're going to need to have some kind of following for this to work.

Then there are music libraries that you can submit your music to. These will require your recordings to be professional quality. But if a filmmaker or advertiser licenses your music for a commercial or something, you'll get paid. Some musicians write exclusively for the libraries.

You could even start your own music library if you were so inclined

My last thought is that if you're particularly talented at bass, maybe you can create a superior "how to play bass" product than what's available out there and go with that.

Whatever you do, viva la musica e bona fortuna!

It's kind of hard to suggest something with such little information. It would really help if you had a goal you wanted to achieve through the distribution of this music, whether free or paid. But I'm going to say if the music is your passion you can establish yourself or your skillset by handing these out for free to set up the opportunity to distribute tutorials and etc afterwards. But then again, this is just one of the possible options to such an open ended question...you may want to figure out what you ultimately want to achieve before doing anything with the albums.

There is a problem right there. People will tolerate low quality video over low quality audio.

Can you re-play and re-record them at a higher quality?

record them at a higher quality, upload vids of you performing them on youtube, sell each song for like 50 cents and the whole album for $2.50

First of all try on people... If the like your album that definitely they will like your album and they will select your album. Don't go directly to them.
