I'm personally getting a ton of spam from these auto blogs that people keep making. It's pretty pointless spamming content to the search engines and especially pointless when people like myself have plugins like Akismet installed that just dump the trackbacks from auto blogs. |

I've actually written some PHP scripts that create unique content and automatically posts several posts to a blog every day, at random times. Generally very little (if any) of the content in the posts is taken from another website, and if it is, it's because it's directly relevant to the post. Most of the content comes from hundreds of randomizers that I've created and hand-written ahead of time, and the chances that two blog posts will ever be the same are about 0.0001%, even if hundreds of blogs use the same scripts. This is integrated with variable data that my spiders pull from certain websites. An example would be a baseball box score. My spider would pull all relevant data from the box score (location, hits, errors, runs, weather, player stats, etc.), and then "write" a post about the game. I'm currently testing a script that does this. Another example that's currently live is a blog about Spyware. It pulls from a database I have about various computer processes, and "writes" information about the process, whether or not it's spyware, what action you should take (if any), and links to a PC Cleaner with my affiliate link. It's different than most "autoblog" scripts out there, but I think in a good way. The primary downside is that the topics are limited to those I am able to create, and it takes about a week or more to create a good script, so I only have a few so far (three complete and four more in testing). I've gotten great results from them though. Some of my blogs are getting thousands of visitors a month, most directly from Google searches. Anyway, I didn't write this post to advertise my software, so I'm not sure if I should post a link to my sales page. I just find Autoblogging to be fascinating, but I've never been a big fan of autobloggers that take content from other sites and swap out words. If anyone wants to check out my software, PM me.
