Wordpress 2.7 Good or Bad!

So Im not liking version 2.7 too much, im running in to an issue with gocodes plugin givin me a fatal error code that its almost trying to reinstall itself. Oh then when i try to put in the rewrite commmands it gives me a 500 internal error code. Kinda seems like its a coding issue, let me know what you think. Here is the error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wsc_gocodes_install() (previously declared in /home/account/public_html/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/gocodes/gocodes.php:29) in /home/account/public_html/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/gocodes/gocodes.php on line 65

Looks like an issue with the plugin than it does for WP itself.

Definitely a plugin issue. If it has an update option, click that, if not, search on Google for an updated version.

      I use 2.7 and I love it!

      Thanks,
      -Christian

Yeah, get rid of the gocodes plugin, it isnt up to date with WP, look for a new version of it, or wait until the new one is delivered.

I just built 2 blogs with Wordpress...
my first time using the service,
    and I liked it.

Once I figured out that I had
to go to my c-panel and
unzip the plug ins, I felt
    pretty comfortable with it.

Seems like a lot to learn,
but as time goes on, I
    think I really enjoy using
    it.

No don't get me wrong I love the wp app, but alot of the plugins just are updated yet. Ive noticed some issues with having to redownload plugins multiple times before it performs so idk.

        Now, a couple a times, when I
unzipped the plugins I got a weird
error code that was at the top
        of the blog.

I had to go back to my c-panel
        remove the blog and then
        re-install.

        Annoying...heck yeah...

I feel like I need to take
        a wordpress class so that
        I can take full advantage
        of it.

But it still seems pretty cool
        to use...at least once you
        figure it out.

        Peace and Love

I am having a problem with 2 of my WP 2.7 blogs: when I write a post, I am stuck in HTML mode. Nothing happens when I click on Visual. So this is very bad.

Yes I felt the same way when i was first starting to use the wp app I was horrible lol. I had to redownload like 10 times till I got it. The problem with class is they dont teach you real life instance lol. It was funny though.

That is new to me what plugins do you have and are you on shared hosting or your own?

I'm not liking it, but it's just the change in the layout

As Garth in Wayne's World put it:
    We fear change

I actually like 2.7 but I admit my frustration with plugins not being ready for it. I've had to actually deactivate several that were causing some weird issues on my WP sites. One or two of my themes had a few hiccups but I got them straightened out. Once I got through those little issues, everything worked fine. I like the new user interface, too.

2.7 doesn't bother me, but I have seen many people take a dislike to it.

Its all opinion and it just boils down to what you use it for. Thanks for the feedback

2.7 does have some issues, some of those are from themes and plugins both. The issues go beyond that though as they also have browser issues and display issues with certain browsers.

The links bar on the side was a real bad idea but not only that when they decided to go with all the javascript it made the system itself run a great deal slower than what it has too.

To jump from 2.6.5 straight to 2.7 would say it was a mjor upgrade but as far as improvments I really see very little improvements in the system itself. Yes I have been through the coding, there are many things they have changed but not made actual real improvements.

    Hate it.

It has no manage tag like the other versions did.

I use wp-affiliate, & I can get to the settings, but I can't find the area to add new keywords now. It was under Manage in the old version.
