You can sign up to most of the freelance marketplaces like eLance, Odesk, rentacoder for free, it's a little tougher get jobs at first until you have an established record of satisfied customers.

You can make tiny bits of money doing microtasks at mturk.com, shorttask or microworkers doing bookmarking, searches offer signups, etc. you might get a close look at some of the SEO strategies people use.

Yes do a few jobs in here until you get enough for a website and hosting.

I know a few warriors that have literally started with nothing and have created 70k - 100k yearly businesses..... they are a rare breed, but they know hardwork and setting goals will get you there.

Start small and work you way up. Best way to do it.

  You can make money through article writing! Content writing is very in demand on the web today and it can be a best way to earn money. You can find clients on some freelancing sites like freelancer, odesk, elance, guru and even forums. I also recommend you to have a self study on internet marketing. You will find free sources of information on the internet. I know it will take a long time for you to earn a lot of bucks but don't be so in a hurry to make money.   If you like to write articles then you can make money from Adsense revenue sites like Infobarrel.com and Hubpages.com.This is of course not instant income, but over time you can earn a really nice monthly residual income from it.

Do captcha work that is very easy typing job and you will get money on daily basis. If you have good typing speed you can make $ 10 in a day. Then you can buy a domain name and start SEO to get more money. If you are not interested in blogging and all you can do the same captcha work forever.

You could setup a site on a free host like Blogspot where you introduce yourself, describe your service, showcase your writing skills etc. Then advertise your service in your signature right here on WF (and other webmaster forums if you want).

It depends on a few things:
1) Do you have a skill? If Yes - Odesk, Elance, LivePerson are good places.
2) Do you have a product to sell? Plimus, ClickBank, 2CO are good places to check out.
3) Do you want to make money through a website then you can probably setup a free blogspot blog (though not recommended).

In the end, whatever you try, you must be ready to spend a little money. Although if you just need a small Gig look a LivePerson.com

For $20, you can buy a domain and establish a website where you can offer article writing service. As you don't have money for the advertisement or listing at WF, so put find people asking for article writing service in hire a warrior section. Once you've enough money you can list your service here.

Go to Yola, get a free website, put up lots of samples, post the link in your WF signature, make the copy in your signature enticing.

I recommend Yola because they like small businesses and they won't flip out and delete your site if you're trying to make a bit of money (like Blogger might).

You don't need to buy a domain and hosting at this moment because you're not trying to rank a site. You just want someplace to send potential customers, where they can look at your writing samples and check out your prices without actually talking to you.

Some great advice here Jim. If you really are good at article writing, you probably have the most important skill of them all.

I understand when you say you've no money, I get messages like this all the time, which is why I set up a blog for people in financial difficulties. However, unless you use Blogger or Wordpress.com free blogging, it's still tricky to get started with any sort of money earning site or blog.

To make quick money I guess you should visit sites like freelancer, elance, rentacoder and get some projects, probably article or content writing projects that will help you to earn some instant cash. This is the best way to get started. However if you are not interested in doing this stuff I would rather advise you to go out for some secured income first or take some part time job to get some cash rolling in because to start online you will atleast need some basic things like hosting, domain, website and an autoresponder service, these are the minimum things you will need to get started.

However you can even go out using blogspot or any other social networking site like hubpages or squidoo to create your own site for free and there you can setup an affiliate offer or a recommendation for a clickbank product and start driving traffic to it to make some sales. Best free traffic sources includes article marketing and participating in forums giving quality advise and content in both these places. Write articles and submit them to ezinearticles to drive instant traffic to your affiliate offer and this should get you rolling with some sales if you are willing to put in efforts. From there you can grow...

You can try to improve your fiverr gig and distribute it to other services such as zeerk.com.

Sometimes when you're new selling service gigs can be a great way to start earning money fast.

Also there are other forms of affiliate marketing online.

My favorite right now to see immediate results is Video Marketing.

Through video marketing you can promote a free CPA offer such as "free iphones". If you make a conversion and get someone to supply their basic information (such as name and phone number) then you can make money!

By making simple little videos on YouTube and promoting them to places like Social Bookmarking sites, you can begin to start raking in profits that could last for a long time.

You write articles, simple, sign up at Factoidz, do the contextual back links, it pays me $5 for a HubPages article as a back link to a Factoidz review. Possibly ten bucks an hour, plus a small residual income from Adsense on your hubs. You can also make good money by reviewing products.

If your Fiverr gig isn't selling, go look at the other gigs that are out there and are selling well and use those as inspiration for your own. I buy quite a few articles from Fiverr and it might be no one can find your gig.

You can set up free sites on Squidoo, Blogger, Wordpress, etc, etc, etc and use them for affiliate marketing - will cost you nothing except your time.

Brad here. No money - no problem. In my opinion, in order to know what will work for you on the internet - you need to do some research first.

I suggest you not worry about the money right now. There are a whole truck load of systems for free on the internet today. This includes training and some real good guidance.

You said you could write - after you have done some research and selected an area - go to WordPress.com and set up a free wordpress blog. Get used to posting and working with the free templates.

You can also sign up for free affiliate programs as well. Those should match your interests and the tenor of your site.

One caution though - when you set up your free blog don't get too comfortable. Eventually you will want to go to a paid host site. I have come across several stories in the last few months - newbies have set up a site - worked really hard - started to get some legs and than bang - the site was pulled.

Some of the free sites set up their own standards and sometimes we violate them without understanding how or why. Best to shoot for a self sustaining location in about 6 - 8 months.

Hope this is usefull. You will find a lot of free wordpress themes and plugins that should get you involved.

I found myself in a similar situation to yours, I simply didn't have any money and there was no chance of me getting a pai 'offline job' as I am currently travelling - well not really moving as I didn't have the funds.

As I enjoy writing I decided to offer a few free articles to Warriors in return for a review if they liked what I had provided. Note: you are now unable to do this on the JV forum and have to do it in the Warriors for hire forum. Now I have completed the review period I can create a free site (such as the websites listed in some posts above) and advertise myself. If you have done a good job with the free articles you have given you will more than likely get repeat orders from them.

Don't stop there - look at the threads in the 'Warriors Looking for' section and contact as many of them with your interest.

Also look in the free reports section and also if there are any Warriors offering free reports in return for a review to see if there are any reports that can help you on your way to making money.

I have been doing all this and although I am still in a dire situation things are looking up and I am slowly but surely on my way to making it happen.

Keep going, try remain positive and work on only 1 or 2 things at a time.

If someone reports the blogspot blog or if they find out which is a rare case, the blog may get shut down. However, I haven't heard of a blogspot being taken down just because it had affiliate links.

If the content is all spam, that may be the particular reason it may get banned or flagged.

I have made a couple of $1000's in affiliate marketing.

If you were about to get more money for the same amount of time and a little MORE extra effort I would do affiliate marketing.

I started off as a content writer and then eventually realized it's quite boring to do odd jobs and still struggle a lot with active income and passive income. So, I recommend you focus ONLY & ONLY on affiliate marketing because that is where the BIG MONEY is.

Jim- know how you feel. I actually started researching info a few months ago and the experts in here are right - there is a lot of information available for free. It took me a while to get together some money to set up my site but in reality it cost me about $25 to get a domain and hosting - I know I could have done it cheaper but I just didn't want to screw it up. That's not a whole lot really. If you can get together $25-$30 you can get a site up and start selling products or do PLR if you are gifted in the article writing arena.

I've been online with my site for about 3 weeks just figuring things out and finally started adding to my "shelves" with PLR - and I've not done much advertising yet but I've made my first 2 sales as of this morning. It takes time - and whatever you do, you have to actually work at it.

You only have and ever will have one option here, and that's to CREATE VALUE.

For example, lets say you're good at woodworking...

1) Go find a place where poeple who love woodworking hang out

2) Ask them what they want that would make them better woodworkers

3) GIVE IT TO THEM

You don't need money to run a survey, or ask people questions.

That's really the ONLY way you will ever earn REAL money.

My $.2.

I'd also encourage you to get a mentor. And not necessarily someone who's made millions of dollars, but someone who will keep it real with you.

Try to write for adsense sharing sites. To get approved by adsense you need a site ,so join blogger.com and make a free blog. These will get you approved .

That join adsense sharing sites like :

triond.com ( make a lot of friends inside : will help you to get a lot of traffic)
hubpages.com
sniplsy.com
etc.

Write 3 article a day and do a little backlinking and with in a couple of months you will have passive income !

You should try posting up a new gig on Fiverr or other clone sites of Fiverr. I made my first online income using Fiverr by messaging ten people asking if I could perform a writing service for them. I was able to get 4 leads and only two of them followed through, but the point is I still made money and you can too. You just have to be a little more aggressive and don't wait for things to come to you. You have to take what you want and go after it...

instead of using fiverr to sell your services, use fiverr as an outsourcer resource and find clients willing to pay 10x the fiverr rate for the same service. pretty simple to find people willing to pay 10-30$ for some of the quality fiverr gigs.

Use your writing skills to sell products by article marketing. For example you write a article on weight loss then find a product that relates and sell it as an affiliate. You could do this with any niche.

You can make a blog and to post about what you like. A good hobby will attract a lot of visitors. Adsense is a good method to use with the blog.

I am a non-native english speaking IM and always in demand for people with writing skills in english in exchange for coaching and tech support... drop me a note if you want give my offer a try.

While i'm writing this post i just got the idea that maybe other people in the same situation like you would like to take me up on my offer too. I can imagine to coach a group of up to 5 persons in exchange for writing.
