Help with Paypal please.

Hey Warriors.

So, I am about to sell my first product. I got everything ready. The problem is, I can't get the integration with Paypal working. The problem is this:

When a customer presses the buy now button on my sales page I want him to be redirected to the paypal checkout. However I can't creathe this checkout page. I can create buy now buttons but I already got that. I need that check out url so I can link it to my own buy now button. How do I do it?

You make a separate page for your website that is your thank-you page and it has the links to the location of your download. This page will have its own URL like
mywebsite(dot)com/specialpage.html

Give the "specialpage" some strange name, one not easy to guess like
dKjjF563RftT65TY.html

When you make (or edit) a PayPal button, somewhere near the bottom of the page in PayPal where you create a button is a button marked "Advanced." Click that and it takes you to another page, at the bottom of which you can tell PayPal where to send buyers after a purchase.

You enter the full URL of that thank-you page you created. S ot will be something like:
http:// www (dot)mypage(dot)com/dKjjF563RftT65TY.html

And PayPal will send buyers to that page.

Does that help?

You can also put a no follow meta tag and a robots.txt file on that page so Google won't index it.

Log into Paypal

Go to "Developer Home" Then to "Training" Then to the "Training Library" From there you can get all the info you need and play around in their sandbox Good Luck!

PS Don gave you very good advice ... play in the sandbox for awhile and you can perfect things.

To get the url of your button. Here's how. Got to the page Create paypal button, Under step 1 and below the Choose a button type there is a word that says Note: Go to My saved buttons to create a new button similar to an existing one. Click go to my save buttons. You will see the buttons you have made. And you will see the word options. Click and choose to edit or view code. If you click view code You can get the URL of your button. How? Click view code, and you will see the code and the word website above and beside the word website theres the word email. Click it and you will get the url like this https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...=83SVK97SKJT94
