Default Newbie Blueprint for Success ...

Newbie Blueprint for Success

These things are all very easy to do, they will just take time, effort, dedication and persistence. However, you will start making money as soon as you do them ...

Look and Feel

This is critical! - Don't ever let someone tell you they don't buy a book by looking at the cover!

1. Pick just one site to concentrate on until you have it ticking over, then you can move on to site 2 with confidence that you know what you are doing.

2. Improve the look and feel by adding plenty of interesting themed content and making those Menus look like they are worth exploring.

3. Improve the look and feel by getting a professional header graphic designed. You can get people on the Warrior Forum who will do a great job for very little outlay.

4. Do everything you can to make your site look as 'glossy' and professional as possible.

Selling

This is the easiest method to generate sales ...

1. Find/Write/Pay - get a great free gift together.

2. Get a professional graphic designed for the free gift.

3. Write a great free course - maybe 10 to 20 lessons.

4. Get an unblockable pop-up designed. Google 'You Can't Block This' - it's free!

5. Add the code to every page because people might land on any page from the engines. You can set it so it only triggers once per visitor.

6. Offer the free gift in the pop-up as an extra incentive for people to sign-up for the free course.

7. On the success page for your autoresponder sign-up, make a blisteringly-good One Time Offer. If you design your own product you can offer it at half-price. If you use an Affiliate offer, give them a good reason to take it - perhaps by offering great extra bonuses.

8. In the auto-responder sequence - i.e. your course - make sure you are delivering value, but also offer related affiliate products.

Traffic

Drive traffic to your site using free methods - at least to start - and remember that you need to keep doing these things until you start to see results ...

1. Article Marketing for link-building. Get a schedule together for publishing articles every day/week.

2. Create a Blog - keep it ticking over with tips and ideas. Wordpress is hands-down the best platform because it has loads of easy plug-ins. Personally I use Blogger Blogs - I have about 15 or so at present. I wish I had found out about Wordpress sooner.

3. Keep linking back to your Main Site from articles in your Blog - these links are important. Keep recommending (linking) resources onsite and offsite to your visitors in those blog posts.

5. Put links to your site in your RSS feeds.

6. Submit your Blog RSS feed to as many RSS Directories as you can - Google 'RSS Directories' - great for link-building.

7. Promote your Blog through Blog Carnivals - Google 'Blog Carnivals'.

Now this is just a start; and some of that could be improved upon, but we can talk about that another time. For now, just do it - it's not rocket science and it works!

And here's to your success!

Will

Great advice and thank you for sharing.

I just wanted to add re: traffic to join twitter and build a network over there as well. Make friends, contribute and you will see an increase in traffic as well.

Hi Jessica

Yes - adding a bit of Social Bookmarking into the mix is definitely a good idea. I may decide to do a part 2 to include such things at a later stage. But for now, I'm hoping this post may help a few people get started.

Cheers

Will
