Randi Zuckerberg Leaves Facebook



Randi Zuckerberg, who is director of marketing at Facebook and also the sister of CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg -- is leaving the company after six years to start a new media firm to help companies become more social.

      She has everything she needs to be a success. She knows how facebook works. She has industry contacts,the last name Zukerberg, and I would guess plenty of working capital. Anyway it will be interesting to see what she creates.

    I was emailed by a google support the other day, and he informed me that sites that become like little smaller communities and more social will be given more preference in the engines.

    Not sure if this is true, but now I read this, and its all starting to make more sense.

    exactly....I am sure that she is a bit of a geek as well. Me, probably like many...did not know she existed. I never studied the family too closely as it is a waste of time for me. I rather put my head down and plug away building a website and start making money soon hopefully :-)

        Im sure she will do fine, i wouldnt be surprised if there is some double edged meaning to her leaving though !!

        The trouble is all the big guys in social media have assisted in bringing marketing into the arena and non of them have really thrown there weight behind giving there efforts to business marketing.

        Watch out for the first of the big boys to do this, and it wont be long neither because there are billions of pounds worth of business out there that are keeping a very close eye on what is happening !!

        I have my own opinion on what is going to happen in the next 3 months !!

      She left to form her own social media company that will work with businesses developing social media promotions - and she will be using facebook in that business.

      You have a bright business person who's already rich - and wants to try something new. If it were a male, would looks have anything to do with it?

      In my opinoon, when you have that much money and brains - being a bimbo centerfold is probably not one of your goals.
