What do you think the most effective way to market towards college aged kids is?
Do you think buying PPC ads on something like Myspace would be the way to go?

I would first use facebook. There was a previous thread about it... There is a promo to get $100 in free ads.

What I like about facebook is the ability to target. I have used it very successfully to target college students. You can choose to target to people in specific networks and age ranges, etc. (i.e. 18-24, University of Texas, University of Seattle...)

Cool! Is it OK if I am trying to promote my own ClickBank Product? Does it have to be an affiliate link?

Speaking as a 19-year-old college student myself, I rarely click the MySpace advertisements.

Although they're targeted, teens visit MySpace to interact with their friends and make new ones, not to read the latest article or buy new products. For one thing, not many young teens actually own credit/debit cards.

Although, if you're advertising on social networking websites such as Facebook and MySpace, you need to make sure that your product appeals to their demographic.

Good luck, and I hope i've helped

        - James.

Would you be interested in a quick and cheap alternative to bartender school?

Don't forget youtube. Post videos and consider advertising there. Run some test if you do advertise on it and let us know the results.

    Best of luck,
    Jerry

As a university student myself, I can tell you straight up that nobody I know even touches Myspace. Everybody is on Facebook and many of them like youtube as well. Most of the ads of Facebook seem to be for matchmaking networks or CPA networks, so I guess the market is still open for Clickbank products. In order to be effective, you would need to create an ad for a product which doesn't look like an ad, if you know what I mean. None of the ads on Facebook are in your face.
