Three Tips that helped me profit $1M the past two years

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to make my first post on the forum a contribution to the massive amounts of great information on here. I have stalked the forum once in a while, but never seemed to register till now. A quick background of myself...

I have been working in interactive media for about seven years now. For the past four years I have been working as a freelance interactive media consultant mainly to fund new revolutionary products and it has been going great. In 2009, we have big plans for my company as we are starting to train more consultants to expand our profits.

Now back to the meat of the post, I wanted to give you three tips that really helped me profit a million the past two years.

1)Business or Hobby
2)Create Networks
3)Competition Anxiety

Business or Hobby

First, if you are making three to low four figures online or in your business, it probably indicates that you are doing this for hobby. When I say doing this as a hobby I'm referencing that you are not pushing yourself enough. You are not looking at the larger picture, but instead focusing on making that $1400 in two hours or $4,000 in a month. Remember, the big earners set up their business to profit consistently and far after its consistency. Meaning, you might need to plan your business for nine months before you even make a sale. You shouldn't get sidetracked trying to make some adsense income or blogging, but should stay focused on your business. If you need income to survive, you should get a part time job and work on your business at night.

You see my problem is I had this great old idea, but trying to build capital to make it happen I got sidetracked with many systems of wealth, MLM, etc... something that only needed 8 months of preparation, took three years. On the third year when I finally built my prototype, Google acquisitioned a company that already did it a year prior... same exact idea, and the acquisition was for, well you all know google acquisitions by now.

Create Networks

Quote from Tony Montana ~ "In this country, first you get the money, then you get the power,THEN you get the woman."

Well, this is not true on the Internet, or in business. In business first you get the power, then you get the money, and THEN you get the woman.

Networks create leveraging power; leveraging power makes it possible to get anything and everything that you want for your business. How do you get a promotion to a list size of 200,000 with nothing... You need something to offer this list owner obviously. Offering them 50% commission will not do the trick in 2009. However, maybe a year supply of sponsored articles across a network of 2,500 PR2-PR4 real sites, producing 2,500 authority links to their site will. This is an example of a Joint Venture I did with a company for an interactive media product of mine that produced a 5% conversion on the 200k list, producing 10,000 for a $100 yearly licensed product. Behind this Joint Venture were a lot of small JV's, with the 2,500 sites, paying each, $10 to each site or a well written article on their site and $10 to article writers to write each article. My expense, $600,000, minus developmental costs of $50,000, my total profit was $350,000. However, even if the profit is only $10,000 in the end, still remember now you have this network you can always call back on in the future.

In 2009, I will be contacting my 200k list JV again for another product promotion, since then, we have grown out connections with other sites and thus, can offer him more.

Competition Anxiety

Here is a simple tip, don't be afraid of competition, and don't be nervous about raising margins to produce more profits in the recession. I the example above, my competition sold a similar product for $50, but did not provide updates and did not provide a few key features in which we provided.

Well, thank you for your time, I know I will enjoy myself on this forum, any questions please ask.

    Thanks Sean,

Networking is so big, the problem with networking is you have to be good with communication, interaction, and good with people. I have tried to teach it to others, but it is hard to get them in the right mindset.
