Content Monetization Strategies

Warriors, when you have to decide on the strategy of monetizing your on-line activity or content (no matter what it is - blogs, videos etc.) what do you pay attention to?

The popularity of the monetization tool, its safety or rather the generated revenue?

Whether it is use to my visitors - the community I am committed to helping.

If it doesn't help them, I don't include it - no matter how good the money.

If it is bringing a plus for the visitors and the revenue share is decent then its a choice to be considered. I try to avoid content lockers which force visitors rather then engage them freely.

Do you believe in this payment model? For Zynga it works

The problem with micropayments is that unless you already have them signed up for a payment ecosystem, collecting that micropayment creates friction for the buyer.
