Hey Warriors, Many of you may have heard some information regarding this topic. But I had to test it myself. I'd been using a header graphic on my opt-in page. It looks really nice, professional, clean, etc. I thought it was doing the page a "service." But I just decided to split test against having the page without the "pretty" header graphic. Long story short. Without the header graphic, out of about 20 keywords, 16 of them performed 75-100% better in regards to opt-in rate. That's a pretty big difference. In the test, my header graphic was charging me double per subscriber. So you may want to split test your header graphics. Even though it may not look as "pretty"... -Sean |

I've done the same test on opt ins and in most cases found the same thing. In fact, in one niche my best converting "design" is a title (Grab your free copy...), an ecover, and the opt in form. With this crowd, even bullets were a distraction. |
