Could An Instant Quick Fix Postpone Your Success?

Hanging out with an old friend yesterday who has serious problems.. with a capital P.

He has spent the last 10 years battling depression and anxiety.. I won't go into the details, but we spoke about the techniques he's tried over the years and he said "I've just kept looking for an instant quick fix, but it doesn't exist".

I immediately thought about the parallels between his situation and IM..

Had he sought real help and stuck with it from the beginning, instead of jumping from one homeopathy remedy, to the latest herbal supplement to Reiki treatments to psychic readings.. and countless "instant quick fixes", he might now be doing better.

Sorry to hear that about your friend, but you've made a great point. People get so fixated on chasing the next shiny object that they lose sight of the big picture.

Despite what most of the sales copy tells you, success is not instant. You will not become a millionaire by next Tuesday. You will have to work - and work hard. If you don't put any time into anything (and, instead, just keep running off and doing something else every time you see another "miracle"), you're never going to get anywhere.

Sadly, it's the people who are looking for the "instant quick fixes" who give up after failing with a bunch of them - all because they were too impatient to see things through.

Yeah I can agree with what you are saying here. A lot of people especially when they start out tend to believe that IM is easy in the sense of just slapping up a website, pushing a few buttons and their computer becomes an instant ATM.

Most people have to learn the hard way with this thinking. I don't know if it's because they went into IM because they were desperate and needed money right away and were told that IM was and easy way to make quick money or not. But they find out quickly that it's just not that way. At least most people do.

There is no quick fix in IM. You have to pay your dues through learning and hard work. Too many people continue to look for the quick fix easy "secrets" that they've heard about instead of knuckling down and going to work on their business. The sooner they figure out it takes work, the sooner they can probably become successful.
