In search of money online

This is very general and the challenges really depend on which way you plan to go about starting off in article marketing. My advice is always for newbies to start with article marketing because you learn many things that you can use through the course of your IM career. I would suggest getting a free guide and using the free information that is out there to help you start your online business.

Also, I would find a guide and start working with it ASAP. Many people will putter around in forums and read articles/blog posts and it takes them forever to get started. You will learn from your own mistakes better than anything else and you cannot make money online if you do not have a website/blog that you are working on.

Well I first thing's first, I think you need to pick a decent niche which you think you can work to monetize well - make sure its a less competitive one and one that you have at least a bit of knowledge about.

Then, I think you can look about selecting a group of products that offer a decent commission and go about building a website around them.

Its quite time consuming so do give it a bit of time before you can expect anything.

Becoming a successful internet marketing is like becoming successful at anything.
Focus on 1 thing and master that one thing. Do not give up. Keep going even when it get's tough and then perservere!

I know this may sound cliche but it is true. People have the tendency of getting way too easily distracted.

The real secret is to keep focused and motivated NO MATTER WHAT.

Find 1 method that works and master that 1 method. Then you can move on or outsource that. But until then, just keep going strong.

What you should do is pick a targeted subniche that's very specific and focus on keyword research so you can build your IM campaign slowly. There's quite a lot of work involved. Don't be weary if you come across a lot of trial and error. The IM niche is quite difficult to master but once you understand the system then it's pretty easy to get a slice of the billion dollar pie.

Am also a newbie, thanks for the contributions from the master but i keep hearing "Focus on 1 thing and master that one thing", can someone please help with any of the good things we should please focus on?

I think you should focus first on learning IM and most importantly don't start if you don't know what you are doing. Don't think of making money online right away. It is advisable first to learn the industry before marketing your own niche. They are right dude, there are lots of free guide and information on the net. Do some research and don't be shy or afraid to ask questions. Feel free to express your thoughts. This forum will surely help you on your first step on learning how to make money online.

I will rather suggest you to start a small online project that you like. Don't stop your learning process though. Post questions on this forum, view what people are doing on Flippa.com which is the marketplace of many online business. If you waste some money never be disappointed because everybody does that. I am sure during the course of time you will know what to do and where to do.

Well, I'm glad you found the forum.

I do want to say that some people confuse the term IM to mean the "make money online" niche of internet marketing. I'm pretty sure you're just referring to marketing on the internet in general, so I do want to let you know that most of the categories you'll hear about at first will very likely be way oversaturated and not worth trying to compete in. I've learned over time that the art of this business is to try to find areas that have much smaller amounts of competition.

If you think of a category like shoes, then there's subcategories like dress shoes, running shoes, etc. Then you go a level deeper and you have dress shoes made of different materials. It's like that with so many things, where you dig down to one level, then the next and the next until you find something very specific that you can market, as long as there's demand, that is. A lot of it revolves around using the right keywords. But it doesn't have to be based around consumer products by any means; that's just a random example.

Basically, there's more categories, or niches as we call them, than most people can imagine. But don't worry, because that just means there's more out there for everybody, though it is getting pretty crowded in a lot of areas. I think you should read though some free guides and whatever great threads you can find on this forum that detail the different internet marketing methods out there, and start to get an idea of which method you think would be easiest. Just remember, it's best to stick with the easiest stuff first and you can always move up later.

You can find a ton of info on this forum, so you automatically have a huge advantage over a lot of people who want to get into this stuff. Also, don't forget about the forum search function.

You'll likely want to try several different things at once. I suffered from that before. It's tough to pick just one method, but I've found that if you don't, you'll never really make any progress, so picking something and going with it is so important.

Build a website that is helpful to the community and provide useful information for your customer. Give them freebies and let them subscribe. Build relationship with them that way you can gain trust and can sell products to them.

I actually did a video on subniches and the importance of them. I haven't posted it on youtube yet but I made sure to stress the importance of focusing on one traffic driving method like article marketing. I'll post it on youtube soon but I just wanted to say that a lot of fresh IMer's try to become the jack of all trades when first starting out instead of trying to master one skill. Try to branch off of what the 97% are doing and take the road less traveled. It will pay off in the end.

You can easily get hundreds order daily with your skills which you can do only for $5.

The best way to get started is to focus on list building. Here's a plan in a nutshell...

1. Select a niche you love.
2. Create a free report to giveaway for free to your list.
3. Create a squeeze page.
4. Drive traffic to your squeeze page.
5. Build your list and build relationship with them.
6. Ask your list their most pressing problem
7. Either create products or promote affiliate products to solve their problems.
8. Rinse and repeat the above formula.

You will have to learn each and every step laid above to become successful online, there are no shortcuts...:confused:

Read the forums, learn from others and make money. Start a blog. Use your name as the domain and start posting and grow a list.

Welcome to the forum and internet marketing in general.

Understand that internet marketing is more than just promoting products that help people make money online. Wish I'd figured that out before I jumped into that niche. Be that as it may, there are so many other opportunities to make money. Find something you're interested in and pursue that.

Once you've chosen a niche (that is, the topic you are interested in) write a short report concerning the niche. Then get a website, get an autoresponder and give away the report to visitors in exchange for email addresses. When you have a list of email addresses, start promoting products to them. This should result in money coming your way.

One of the biggest challenges you will face is information overload. If you understood everything I said in the above paragraph, you are well on your way to becoming an internet millionaire. However, if you are brand new to all this, you probably don't know what a list is or an autoresponder, etc. That's OK! I didn't either when I started. You will learn as you stick around.

Another big challenge will be taking action. You MUST implement what you learn. There is no "get-rich-overnight" button. If there is, I've yet to see it. This is a process. Is it possible? Yes. But only if you are willing to take the necessary step to achieving success.
