How do I charge this?

I have just gotten a deal with another company where I will manage the email marketing campaign.

Essentially, I will host their client's database and will do the emailing on their behalf.

I have proposed a solution of using either Aweber or Getresponse, which I have an account for both.

Few works involved:
1) Setting up and importing the client's database
2) Emailing the list on their order
3) Writing promotional emails on their order

How should I charge this? Do I charge based on per-job basis? Or per monthly basis?

It will be good if someone has this experience to give me a ballpark figure.

When I pay people, I pay per job or on commission based upon results. Often a combo of per job and commission works well because if you have a vested interest in the articles you are writing then they will be very good articles likely to bring your customer results - which you could share in. Personally I prefer working with people who have a vested interest in my success and I enjoy sharing the profits with them.

Are you sure you'll be able to import the existing customer list?
AWeber will require that everyone reaccept being on the list and they have limits on how many addresses can be imported everyday.
I'm not sure how Getresponse works, so I can't give advice on it.

Per month to maintain the list and per job for each mailing where you need to do the creatives for it.

Yes, I know about that. Their list is relatively small and they understand about having to double-optin for their importing of database. They do understand that if they import 1000 names, they might get just 500 or lesser names in the end.

Do you have any indicative price for the monthly job and the per job?

For such a small list, I would probably charge between about $9.95 to $14.95 per month.

For creatives, that's up to you. How much is your time worth?
I know of one company that used to charge a few thousand per mailing, though. That included image design and such for a full HTML mailing.
