Does Your Squeeze Page Mimic Your Sales Page Design?

ok with my business model the ppc ad is the first part of my sales funnel, then the squeeze page then as soon as they opt in they are redirected to my sales page.

So heres my question (of course i couldve tested this out and i will eventually but id like to see what you guys say).

seeing the way my sales funnel works do you think i would get an increase in conversions on my sales page (from the inital redirect) if my squeeze page design looked very similar to the sales page?

if they dont buy the first time i have a high converting AR sequence setup that converts pretty much 100% into buyers over time.

but i would like to increase the amount who convert when they are redirected immediately after the optin...and i was guessing that due to familiarity, it would be beneficial to make the squeeze page and sales page look very similar, if not identical..whats your take?

Yes, conversions will be better if your squeeze page matches the sales page. Although I don't personally have my own product, I apply this in affiliate marketing with much success.

what extent do you go to??

do you make the two pages exactly alike... such as using the same themes and colors or just similar vaguely similar..such as two different themes but using the same colors.

I dont think it maters that mcuh to match the design for a squeeze page and a sales page. I tend to remove the header graphic on the squeeze page to improve opt in rate. You may test it out as it can depend on your market

Personally I think having matching squeeze page and sales letter is NOT a needed thing. I would go with a high converting optin page design for the squeeze page and with a different, personalized design for the sales letter.

It's a bit different for big companies, but for most of us this would work just fine

Rich, I tend to use very plain squeeze pages. I do use subtle similarities like the same font, page width, color scheme, etc. Whether those things make a difference, I can't tell as I've never tested them.

I can say that making them radically different, like going from white type on black background to the reverse, tends to create a disconnect that's jarring for the user.

        Hi Rich

In the 5 years working with IMs, all squeeze pages created for clients are same design as landing page. Some prefer keeping header, but majority prefer just the opt-in box with main artwork carried over.

I guess split testing might help you track which converts better?

I never really gave it much thought, I don't match mine but I do agree that split testing is very important. I honestly have no idea if that would work better or not but, you've given me something else to ponder about now!
