Should I change methods?

I am driving all my traffic to a squidoo lens. Its a Make money online product. I know its a tough tough niche. But I made a couple of sales out of it so I thought I'd keep going...I have been writing articles, forum signatures, social bookmarked driving all my traffic to this lens. I managed to get a couple of re-accuring sales out of it. Should I keep doing what Im doing or change tactics? I have been writing articles mostly linking to this lens. This lens is currently on page 1 in the middle of the page too. I now some of you will say build a squeeze page and I would be doing the same thing to drive traffic to that squeeze page. But if Im not converting with my lens then Im thinking that I won't convert with a squeeze page maybe Im wrong..advice / sugesstions?

    With a squeeze page you're building a list. That means you get repeat traffic from the subscribers, and repeat buyers. Just funneling traffic to an affiliate offer means your business only grows as you find new traffic sources. Plus, if you offer people a good reason to join your list the conversion rate will likely be higher than it is for sales.

    More importantly though, if you drive traffic to your own domain first all your link building remains viable. On the other hand, if Squidoo should shut your lens down you just lost a boatload of work. Personally, I wouldn't do that, but to each their own.

    I have to second Dennis - you cannot rely on a 3rd party site. I would personally build a website that you control & drive traffic in that direction using your squidoo lens to provide links to your main website.

    I don't believe squidoo is a good source for income, you will always have your limit and that traffic at the end is going to squidoo not to you.

    You maybe able to make some bucks but i don't believe it can be source of income

    I have to agree with some of the posts above. I have come to learn the hard way that, you need to build a list, sooner the better. I wish I'd started doing it long ago. If you have a list you have an asset for you IM business for as long as you have that list, build a great list you'll make money over and over again.

    I would also host your own site Alexa is right you have way more control of your site and business.
