You Just Never Know When It's Going To Happen
As I was refreshing the clickbank page a few minutes ago (i'm addicted to doing that) I was shocked to see a sale come in from a product I stopped promoting some time ago.
I promoted that product pretty heavily for about 3 weeks and just recently stopped just before christmas. Over 700 hops to that product and not one sale. But today, out of no where somebody found an article I had written and was kind enough to pull out their credit card and pay me $53.17.
There are three points that immediatly came to mind once this happend.
1. Article marketing does work long term. Which we already know but recently there have been some threads that claimed otherwise in a round about way. I make sales everyday now from articles but the one this article came from is over a month old.
2. If your new to this IM game, don't get stuck just promoting one product. I don't have a lot of patience sometimes, but because of that I did not stick to spending all my time promoting just one product. I started promoting four or five products once I got a little comfortable with the process. Had I not done this and only concetrated on that one product I would imagine I would have been pretty frustrated having that many hops and not one sale. The other sales allowed me to just kinda shrug it off and say oh well that product just converts like crap.
3. You just never know where a sale is going to come from. Like I said I quit actively promoting that product 3 weeks ago. While I am certainly happy that someone bought it, I was also expecting today to be like any other day as far as that product went. So hey the fifty bucks was just like a bonus.
So even if your not making sales with the product your promoting now, pick a couple more and write some articles for them. You never know, it could be a hot niche. But I do know if you spend all your time on one thing you'll never know.
The more stuff you have out there the better chances of making a sale you have. When you make sales it makes everything your doing worth it. You never know when one you thought was a lost cause may just put some unexpected money in your pocket.
