Default Camtasia Gurus! few questions ...

1. Can a text to speech software can be used to create Audio MP3 files? Which one you recommend?

2. Can these MP3 file can be integrated into Camtasia project or .AVI file?

3. How exactly the audio and video are integrated using Camtasia?

I have been searching Google, but don't see any tutorial that tells me on how to integrare a MP3 into already existing camtasia project.

thanks.

Hey radhika,

1) Yes, but you're not going to "fool" anyone into thinking that the recording was made by a real person. With that said, the most realistic one I've heard is the "Dave" character at Avatars - Create an Animated Talking Character for Your Website

2 & 3) Yes, open up Camtasia, click 'File' > 'Import Media'. Then drag the icon of the imported MP3 file onto the 'audio' timeline at the bottom of Camtasia.

FYI, there are lots of Camtasia tutorials at Screen Capture, Screen Recorder, Video Hosting, and Usability Testing Software and at YouTube.

I don't want to be it like real person. Just to create some video tutorials. For tutorials, these voices are ok, I guess.

How to pace the audio file for the whole length of video? Like I want the audio file to be breaked up into multiple chunks and each one to be at certain point of the video. I find it hard to do that. I am having Camtasia 3.1.2 version.

Thanks. Will look into it.

I'm not sure about Camtasia 3, but this is how you do it with Camtasia 5/6...

Position the cursor at the top of the timeline (where the seconds are displayed) at the exact point where you want to make the cut, then right click and choose 'Split'. Then you can move each section of audio around wherever you want.

Thanks Brandon. I will try it out!

Any 'text to speech software' recommendations that I can install on my PC?
