Web Hosting Affiliates - How is it?

Hey guys,

gonna start promoting web hosting and stuck choosing between Bluehost and Hostgator.. Which one has been best for you? How about the waiting period before you get paid for a sale? How often do you get payments pulled because someone canceled hosting that they bought?

Cheers

I'd go for Bluehost over Hostgator.. I've found with Hostgator they like to mark a good proportion of accounts as invalid and they seem to do it right before pay day. If one of your referred clients is late in paying (even if they have been paying every month consistently) you don't get a commission for that client.

I've raised support reqests many times when they mark an account as a duplicate and they tell me it is because the client had an account before (even though I know they didn't as this was their first ever website). I've often seen monthly commissions whittled down from over $1000 to $200 because of this strange "feature".

In the end I got frustrated with this and now recommend Bluehost over Hostgator. I've never had any sales with them invalidated.

    cheers,
    Suzanne
