Clickbank Actually Makes Things Harder??

I recently asked an internet marketing guru if he used Clickbank. He replied:

"James... I don't really have any successful Clickbank products.. We use our own shopping carts and affiliate program.

Clickbank can be tough.. it's all about unique products and getting a large number of affiliates onboard."

It had never occurred to me that Clickbank might be tougher because of the massive number of internet marketers who hang out there. What do you think? Does using your own shopping cart and affiliate program really help to fight off the competition, leading to bigger profits?

I think the main reason to use clickbank is the ease of having a checkout , and automatic handling of affiliate sales, and exposure. This is obvious of course, but you can cut out the middleman and make more money. Of course this will take more work and is riskier.. Tough call .. but I think the big money is self promotion / sales / affilates

Somebody must be making good money from Clickbank, because most of the products I have looked at there have the highest percentage of sales by affiliates. I admit I am not a clickbank expert, but someone must know how to effectively market these products.

I think the OP was referring to marketing products through Clickbank, rather than marketing Clickbank-listed products.

Yes, I am referring to creating a product and selling it on Clickbank... not selling other people's stuff.

Its all about how you tackle it. If your not making money with click bank then your marketing methods are wacked up. Promote yourself first build a list then advertise products to your list about click bank products you have used and will do well when what your list is all about. It is honestly that easy.

I have about $700/week dumped into my checking account from CB.

I don't have ANY successfull affiliates (they don't pay any attention to my affiliate marketing page)

All the affiliates who have attempted to market my product try to use straight PPC and it will work - it just takes about 500+ clickthrus to get a sale that way.

In general, I think the affiliates who work with CB products all want a sales page or optin page that converts like crazy. If you cannot provide them with that, then you won't get affiliates for your product.

BUT - to address the topic of this thread - I don't think your payment processor solution has anything to do with whether you are successful online or not. Also, if you have something that affiliates get paid well for and like to sell, it doesn't really matter which venue you promote it on - your own or one of the others.

I haven't used ClickBank to promote my own products through yet.

Mostly I promote my own stuff or use PayDotCom which is working for me.

One of the biggest benefits of CB that I can see is the hugh numbers of potential affiliates that you would have access to, but I guess you need to get some traction in the marketplace before you would start seeing some good results from that.

If you want to kick butt on Clickbank all you have to do is duplicate what someone else has successfully done.

    Here's just one example:

And stop whining and trying to figure out what to do before you actually start doing it - it'll never be perfect the first time, the 2nd, the 3rd or any other time... it'll only get better. But to make it better you have to start somewhere...

How to get to the top of page one in Clickbank:

Set up multiple CB ID's and then market your product through the multiple ID's as an affiliate.

If the niche is small enough, you'll be at the top with just a few sales.

Good question. I've heard good things about Rapid Action Profits.

I got an infraction for post #16 above!

Why?! No affiliate links or anything...just simply a link to another thread in the Warrior forums. That's so odd...if anything, Google LIKES in-text linking - the way I made that post actually HELPS the forums SERP rankings. Hmmm. Weird. I was simply referring him/her over to another thread on this forum that may be of help. That's an infraction?!

If you weren't attempting to promote it then I wouldn't worry too much.

Just realize there's been a ton of MMM spam here as of late. It seems a lot of their affiliates are bombarding this place. So it's best to not make any references to that program.
