$30,000+ Per Month Inspiration for Newbies...

by GMD Banned

Today I got a couple of PM's from "newbies" in response to what I wrote in a thread recently about a person that wanted some help with his Clickbank account.

The crux of these two messages was this:

"Is is REALLY possible to make money doing IM or is it just one big scam?"

After reading and replying to those two messages another thought hit me:

The forum has LOTS of threads with the same question: is it REALLY possible to make money with IM?

The first reply is to always advise people to look around the forum and they will see it's possible. But you know what? The FORUM ITSELF (www.warriorforum.com) is PROOF THAT MONEY CAN BE MADE ONLINE.

Yes. This website. This website is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of successful internet marketing.

Without batting an eye, I can easily estimate that this website makes over $1,000 per day in revenue. It's probably more. But let's stick with that figure.

That's $30,000 per month because somebody had the genius idea of creating a forum for internet marketers to gather and have a place to call home.

Over the years, the Warrior Forum has evolved, but it's maintained it's impeccable status as a perfect example of internet marketing gone GOOD.

Newbies, how many niches are there still yet to be conquered? And of those, how many of those niches would benefit from a forum, like this one, where those people could gather?

Yup. It would take work. Lots of work. Forum building is yet another specialized niche within IM. Monetizing successful forums is yet another!

...But it's possible. Take a look at the Warrior Forum itself: it's a reality.

One of the greatest things about the Warrior Forum is not only the knowledge that you get here can make you rich, the forum itself earns revenue from services that GIVE YOU VALUE.

I GLADLY paid this forum my money to become a "War Room Member."

I GLADLY paid this forum my money to post a "Hire a Warrior" page.

I spent money, but I got much more back in return because I used the resources and ideas in the War Room. And I got my initial investment and then some back from my "Hire a Warrior" page.

So newbies -- the dream is ALIVE and it's right here before you.

You'll respect what you have to work for more, than what's simply given to you...

You might be overestimating the amount, I've heard that forums are notoriously hard to monetize, but there is a large amount of traffic here.

And the fact that you can make money online is irrelevant, people start full fledged business online, and there are notable full-time bloggers (Darren Rowse anyone?) who make money off of simple WordPress powered blogs, so it isn't really a question.

It's a good point you make, but I think I might be UNDERestimating.

      Take a quick look:

      1. See those "warrior ad" banners at the top? It's a $100 a pop. Good luck getting a space, it's totally booked up.

      2. Post a WSO offer? $40.00 a pop -- how many new WSO's get posted daily?

      3. Have work and want to hire a Warrior? Post for $5.00 a pop.

      4. Now add in $20 more for Classifieds, "Hire a Warrior", "Warriors for Hire"?

Oh, let's not forget the tons of $20 "bumps" that go on in all these forums.

Still think $1,000 per day is too high an estimate?

AND no, I'm not complaining. The people who utilize these services and opportunities MAKE MONEY. The forum itself provides these opportunities based upon its reputation, traffic, and ability to deliver value.

"Forums are notoriously hard to monetize". Agreed.

But making money in IM is also notoriously hard, too.

BUT IT'S POSSIBLE. It's being done.

And therein lies the inspiration to have faith in taking action.

Newbies usually want "proof" and not necessarily "oh this guys makes this much" and this blogger makes that much -- so it's possible. While perhaps true, it's not concrete. This very forum is something somebody can see AND confirm it's making money.

The only point I wish to make...

You are definitely undervaluing the money generated from this forum for its owner.

Just on the banners at the top of the page, those remain booked up. The banner rotation allows for 10 banners per 24-hour period for $100 each = $1000 day.

Each weekday, my wso's get bumped off of page 2 in about 18 hours. So that means that about 150 wso's are bumped daily Monday through Friday at $40 per pop: 150 x $40 = $6,000 day. On Saturday and Sunday, about 100 wso's are bumped per day, i.e. 100 x $40 = $4,000 day. Over the 7 days of the week, it is averaging 135 bumps per day: 135 x $40 = $5,400.

The Warriors For Hire section, I have no idea what the site does, because I don't go there often. But the posting cost for those is $20.

Not counting the Warriors For Hire section, new War Room memberships, Signature Banners, Classified Ads or Article Forum memberships, this forum is easily generating $6,400 per day for its owner.

Wasn't really aware of all of the fees tagged to this forum, guess you were right. Even with the hosting fees and whatever staff wages are (are there any staff here?) it's definitely making a pretty penny.

I was just discussing this with a friend today.. it is seriously mind-boggling.

I'd say it generates close to $10,000 a day - with the bumps in Warriors For Hire and all that, $10,000 is a likely number.

Now, my question is, who pockets all of that? Is it just Allen? Or is there a group of people?

I think you are underestimating how much this forum generates. There are a lot of fees that get paid every day here... WSO $40.. Lots of them and lots of bumps plus warrior for hire..image signatures..war room. Allen ( the owner of this forum) makes over 1 million per year on this very forum . ( 1.4 million average from several sources that told me)

Good post and I absolutely agree with you -- I am SURE that I am underestimating and I am sure that I have left other other forms that this site has successfully monetized.

The fact remains: this website itself should serve as a reminder to all doubting newbs (and the whiners) that IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY IF YOU PICK THE RIGHT NICHE AND GET TO WORK.

Everybody teaches that "four letter words are bad" -- but learn this four letter word:

      WORK

      ..and you'll NEVER go wrong.

Yeah $1000 per day is a massive underestimate.

I'd say $10,000 per day (and that's being conservative).

It's a massive authority forum, with a LOT going on.

Hindsight is not only 20/20, it's maddening! What you had to say though made me have a thought, however.

There's still room for all of this I think. IM is a BIG WORLD. Just take a look at all the individual forums within this forum as a whole.

Somebody somewhere could come up with the most awesome, feature filled board (forum) man's ever seen and then say, "hey, this is for copywriters. Or Webmasters. Or Adsense people." Or maybe even something totally new.

Whatever, that's only an example. It would be difficult to do because the WF is so inclusive and so amazing it would be hard to beat the community spirit that's around here -- there's a synergy here that would be hard to duplicate.

I give full credit to the founder of this site: he caught lightning in a bottle and it's still shocking people even after all these years!

Yes, they are definitely making some good coin but it's not as though it happened overnight.

Let's also not forget the HUGE server resources it would take to run a forum like this.

Let's also not forget that the Warrior Forum has an Alexa Traffic rank of around 142. Yes, that figure is probably inflated because a larger percentage of the IM crowd would be using the Alex toolbar than compared to the rest of the general public, but there is no denying this forum gets a huge amount of traffic and would be one of the highest trafficked forums on the Internet. If you weren't able to monetize a site getting this much traffic to the tune of at least $1 million/year then you're in the wrong game.

That's not to say they haven't been very creative in the way they've monetized the forum. A forum where you allow the members to also share in the profits through a marketplace like the WSO forum was a great idea.

These huge numbers are not suprising at all! Take a scroll down the bottom of the homepage and you see a mass list of users currently on the forum! As of right now there are 7600 people on these forums!!!

As has been said though, it is an authority forum, which started in 1997. They thought outside of the box and were ahead of there time, 1997 was even before the internet boom! Amazon may have just about been around, but Google certainly wasn't!

Yes, $1,000 per day is a serious underestimation of what this forum makes. I'm guestimating it's ten times that much.

Something else to consider: if the people here did not make money from internet marketing there is no way this forum could or would exist. The fact that people share their money-making strategies, their copy writing techniques, personal development tips, and success stories is a testament that this does and can work.

There are a ton of full time marketers in this forum and even more part-timers. A lot of newbies too, some make it and some don't, all for a variety of reasons.

The way this forum was buillt and grown was nothing short of pure marketing genius on Allen's part. As just one prime example of this: I found the Warrior forum back in 1999 by downloading a free viral report that Allen offered as a product download. Allen had a lot of viral reports back then and boy oh boy did it help grow his forum. It seemed that no matter where I went, I was able to find a viral report from some marketer who was somehow connected to Allen.

Lastly, and I've written this until I'm blue in the face, if you join the War Room and can't make money within 90 days after joining it, you're definitely doing something wrong.

I don't understand your logic here?

You admit the WF has been a "highly successful website" for a long time and on the other hand you don't know how much it's supposed to inspire newbies?

How about the fact that BECAUSE the website has been highly successful, and the fact that it's a GREAT example of internet marketing GONE GOOD, it should inspire anybody new to Internet Marketing that it is possible to succeed.
