Fiverr - How to become a Top Rated Seller?

I hit 50 feedback today (100% Positive), and I thought that was the milestone to become a top rated seller, but it's not.

Anybody know about much positive feedback you need to become one?

There's more to it than just positive Feedback -

You also have to make sure you deliver on time (never let the gigs become 'late'), you can't get any infractions on Fiverr, and you need to be polite.

The full list is here Fiverr's Top Rated Sellers

I've been a seller on fiverr for a whole 2 weeks. Getting an average of 3 orders a day. It seems that it is much harder to get recognized for your gigs versus featured listings and top sellers.

I would say try to follow the instruction and give it time. I used to have same concern on eBay.

It's a waiting game everywhere. So you have to wait and see on fiverr too.
I just wonder if one can make decent money on it? Anyone making over $200/day on fiverr?
      Thanks

Keep working at it and consider sending an email to Fiverr to confirm the exact steps necessary to become a top rated seller.

I've been doing almost one gig a day for the last three months. I think I got an infraction for sending a promotional link in a message. I might try the featured user thing.

I think it's just a case of remaining patient - if you've had 50 orders all with 100% positive feedback, you're doing extremely well! It's shouldn't be about being a 'top rated seller', if you're getting the feedback you need to boost your ratings, that's still a great start.

Stay positive and keep doing what you're doing, your buyers obviously love it!

I have seen so many gigs that have delivered more than hundreds and they are still NOT a featured neither TOP RATED SELLERS - So my perception is that when you deliver your gig, give some bonus or tips to your buyers that will definitely makes your delivery unique and will let you to top list with Reward.

    Hope it Helps!

I've never understood how people are making any REAL money on Fiverr. It seems like a lot of work to make $5 at a time. Am I missing something?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[5207916].message }}
    • No, I don't think you're missing anything.

I think Fiverr was a better deal in the first year, when there weren't so many gigs. Now I've got top-rated sellers begging me to get them more gigs. It's just really hard to sell. But you can achieve some economy of scale if you're fulfilling a dozen orders for the same gig every day. That's the only way it even makes sense. Most top-rated sellers *don't* get a dozen gigs a day.

It's an outstanding way to purchase other gigs on Fiverr without spending your own money.

The key is finding something that you can do rapidly for your gigs. For example, if it takes you 30 mins to complete a gig then you net $8 an hour (Fiverr's cut is $1 per gig). If you can find something that takes you 5 minutes then you would net $48 an hour.

I just got notice yesterday that I was promoted to a level 2 seller in their new ranking program. I imagine I'm still a long way off from becoming a top rate seller though.

      You are missing gig info.

As mentioned above if you are hosting gigs for serious profit the key is to find something you can do within a short space of time to fulfil many gigs per hour / day, provided of course that the demand is there.

You can do big things quickly if you have the correct tools. A lot of sellers run automated software which batch processes jobs.

Just a few tips from a former seller:

Receive lots and lots of positive reviews. This does not mean that about half of your reviews need to be positive. This means that 99% of your gigs need to have good feedback.

Deliver every gig on time. If you find that you are having trouble delivering, then you need to suspend your gig until you can catch up. This is the best way to make sure that you can have every gig completed on time.Communicate quickly and politely. If a buyer asks you a question, it is important that you respond right away.

This will help you to get more positive feedback on your gigs. It is also very important for you to be polite in your communication. Even if you think that someone is asking a stupid question, you should be patient and answer them in the best way that you can. After all, good customer service is one of the main ways that you can become a top rated seller.Stay out of trouble and follow the rules.

This means no sending your client your email address through your Fiverr gig messages. It means following the rules of the site and not bending them. If you are unsure of a rule or gray area, then you can always shoot customer service an email and ask. You should be able to get some clarification that way.

I just got this rating on there! Was pretty happy when I got a message about it. It is kinda cool cause I didn't really even put much effort into it, just put up a bunch of gigs and over the months, keep getting sales. I always fill the orders and treat people well on there. It seems to be rating and sales figures. Which reminds me, I gotta get on there and make a few more gigs

Yeah, I was doing pretty good with that site for a while. Hitting over 2k per month and I did that for a few then all of a sudden it left. Was a little upset about that because I was looking forward to that 2k. Not the end of the world but glad I have other monitization process in places.

It shouldn't be too hard, if you're honest. It's been my personal experience that there's way more scammers on fiverr than there are honest people, that is if you're talking about anything more than giving someone a bogus review or something simple like that.

If you expect to get real work, like writing articles or ebooks or something from fiverr sellers, you're going to have a hard time finding an honest person to do it. Of about 80 gigs I've bought for articles and such, way over 40 of them have tried to pass 10 year old plr crap off on me as original content.

Being a "top rated seller" should be easy, if you just do what you promise, when you promise, and keep it honest. But, then again, with fiverr, maybe that's the reason you're NOT already a top rated seller!

In case you can't tell, personally, I don't like fiverr. I've had nothing but bad experiences from their sellers and their support staff. Six months of putting up with all their BS was plenty enough for me! I'll never go back!

If you're one of only a handfull of honest people there, you should SHIIIIINE like a new penny!

Being a Top Rated seller requires you to quality delivery, transparency and a humbleness and thanks for every $5 gig that was ordered. Just treat this like you run your own professional business, and Top Rated Seller status cannot be too far off.

Here is what I can help you with... Level 1 and Level 2 is easy to achieve as all you need is 5 sales with good feedback to reach level 1(I think), and 50 to reach level 2.
This is automatic. As for reaching superseller spot, you need to ask once you have been a member for a while as long as you have no infractions and have positive feedback. Once you reach around 200-250 sales you should ask.
Furthermore, just because you reach Super Seller status does not mean that you will be keeping it forever. Consider it a position that comes with a commitment. A commitment to keep making sales. Once your sales drop below a certain level, Fiverr will demote you back to being a Private. Sorry, I'm thinking army... They will demote you back to level 2 and then you are stuck like Chuck. Keep making sales that's all I can tell you and keep your customers happy. You know that saying, "you don't know what you've got til it's gone"...
So true! You will really miss the advantages of being a Super Seller when you get dropped back down to Level 2 and it sure will affect your sales.

I know a lady who started FIVERR and became a TOP RATED SELLER in one year. She had 200 feedback and many gigs. It was not just one. She also had an ONLY ON FIVERR video as well as an extensive portfolio. This was years ago. It might be harder now. Still, it is a doable mission. Keep your chin up.

Of course, it's going to be harder to get to that goal of becoming a top rated seller on Fiverr as there is so much competition. They can't make the process too easy or everyone joins the elite category. These guidelines mentioned earlier just ensure that only the best sellers make to the winners circle where even more money can be made.
