is there a way of entering code into the <head> in wordpress without causing the body to be spaced down the page?

i'm attempting to enter a code but everytime i do, it shifts the body text down about 2 or 3 spaces. how can i solve this issue?

You have posted the exact same post in the Website Design forum (where it belongs), why has it also been posted here?

cuz i actually posted it here 1st seeing as many more people view this board than that one so i figured maybe one of the countless eyes to see it could have an answer.

i then realized i could place it there and see if anyone there would have an answer.

I feel your pain. Not that I have an answer for your technical question- but that it can take a while (and sometimes never) for a lightly read section like Web Design to come up with the answer. That can be frustrating when you are trying to accomplish something.

Might I suggest you search elsewhere on the web for answers - or better yet develop some techy friends who you can Skype when you get stuck - in exchange for maybe helping them out with something you are skilled at (like article writing - as a for instance.)

Good luck with getting your question answered.

I understand that, but this dilutes the answers for everyone else. By double posting there are now two threads going on the same topic. While the tech forums don't get anywhere near the traffic of the main one they are there for a reason - think of it as a "niche Market".

Also, in the case of this problem you said the <head> of your site, which is the HTML at the top of the site. In reading your OTHER thread (where you'll note you actually got technical answers) it's now apparent that you meant your WordPress "header" section - two completely different things.

The Web Design and Programming forums may be "lightly read", but those who read it and respond to questions are actually the ones you want to help you. That is why they are there.

      End of lecture!

It depends what the code is you are trying to enter and exactly where on the page you are trying to enter it. Any chance of a screenshot of the source code?
