Article spinning question

Supposedly article spinning someone elses article and using on your site is copywrite infringement right?
But has anyone ever been prosecuted for this?
If so what is the fine/penalty?

On the other hand if you use PLR articles and spin them then its 100% safe of any trouble right?

Thanks for any help.

My trainer alexmainadotcome actually taught me that article spinning should only be done to the fifth generation. This is when time is your major constraint an internet marketer.

Otherwise he advices that one should inculcate a culture of writing original work,in the long run,it pays and makes you stand from the crowd like am doing with my four blogs below.

If time does not allow you, outsource that part of your IM business and you will land some affordable article writers from all over the world especially at fiverrdotcome.

Part 1 - Don't just spin someone else's content; that's bad form. If I'm stuck for ideas on what to write, I'll read 5-10 relevant articles and combine everything I've read into one article. Then I'll take that article and run it through Copyscape to make sure I didn't inadvertently use someone else's idea. If it passes, I'll make it spin-ready and use it as it's now original and mine. If not, I'll keep changing it until I can use it.

Part 2 - As long as you follow the guidelines in the PLR, you can do whatever you want with it. I'd still use something like Dupe Free Pro or Copyscape to make sure your version's not too close to someone else's.

Hmm ... Not sure I like the question but it deserves an answer. The rights to PLR are expressed by the person writing and selling it. It should be unique, but that doesn't happen all the time and because there is so much free PLR out there, there are always people spinning the spin of another spin.

If you are looking for quantity instead of quality, then take the free PLR and run with it, but to take content from someone's blog or site and spin that without their permission is just wrong in my book, but then again I'm not an expert.

It's a slippery slope and because doing something like that would never occur to me - I guess I'm not the best qualified to answer except to say that it's not that difficult to find quality PLR for a dollar per article. You might even be able to get cheaper articles in bundles from the freelance writing sites.

I suppose everything is just a spin of everything else, but personality and unique relevant content seem to be the keys to success for some of the big marketers. If you write a crappy post then I'm not going to bother reading again unless you have some information I can't find anywhere else. Just keep that in mind when you post your content because I know a lot of people that feel the same way.

Before you think about doing something like that consider the possibility you might get called out on it. Do you really want to brand yourself as someone that "steals" content? And if you submit to article directories that use certain "copy" check systems - you might find yourself barred from using them to promote your sites.

    Ron,

The 200,000 articles you purchased will be a good place to start, but use the articles as information only and try writing your own article then spin that and see what you get. Add your own observations, your own personality, and MAKE IT YOURS.

There are too many copycat websites with the same content listed over and over and that's the problem - if you can stand out because of your personal spin - then you might find yourself with better business. I'm sure there are numerous places people can buy the same product you are offering - but if you can connect to them then they will want to buy from you.

    I wish you luck

Another problem with article spinning is readability. I hate going to a website and having it not make a lick of sense. What I find spinning useful for is getting ideas of alternate ways to say something. If you find yourself using the exact same phrase because you can't think of a different way to say it, putting it through a spinner can break the writer's block.

As far as spinning non-PLR content, IMHO, it is ill-advised to even try it just for the sake of your reputation. It's better in the long run to create your own content. If you are not a fast typist, one option is to use speech recognition to do the bulk of your writing and revise it as needed. I do this sometimes. As an added bonus, your writing becomes much more natural sounding when you speak it aloud.

Alternately, you can dictate into a microphone and have it transcribed by someone who types quickly. There are lots of services for this or you can explore elance or similar options. Transcription can be less expensive than hiring a ghostwriter.

I just thought I'd add a couple of options you can explore. Thanks for your time and good luck.

    HTH,
    Jim

I would read three to four articles of the related topic, and I will spin the articles putting my own creativity with an intention to make it unique in the search engines. This does not come under black hat technique because, the content in my article is not copied from the other articles, the only thing is I have taken the ideas from the articles and spin it with my ideas to make it unique.
