Default I don't understand Wordpress plugins...

Hello all... I have been reading everything I can get my hands on for a couple of weeks. WSOs, ebooks, blogs, this forum... I have been studying hard and implementing things as I go.

I cannot, however, seem to get my head wrapped around how to USE Wordpress plugins or where to find updated ones that work with the new 2.7 Wordpress.

Here is what I would like to know:

Where do I get the plugins that will allow me to advertise clickbank products, etc on my sidebar? Where do I get plugins to jazz up the look of my blog? Take a look at it and give me your opnions please. I have a couple of them, but this is my most active one as eBay is my primary internet business right now. It is treasuredetective.wordpress.com.

Any feedback, ideas, kicks in the butt.... will be greatly appreciated. I am all for constructive feedback! I love this forum and it is so helpful for newbies to this IM world. I have learned so much and I know I can move forward more easily if I feel my blog is ready for primetime.

If you can point me in the direction of where to learn more about Wordpress and the plugins, etc. I would appreciate that too. I flew by the seat of my pants creating my blog....

C.C.

Just use your text widget to post your affiliate link or banner on the sidebar.

One widget you should definitely not miss out on is the All in one SEO plugin.

You can find all the plugins you'll need here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

The advice above is great: get your own domain and install Wordpress there, and visit the WP plugins page. I'm sure you can also find essential plugins for blogs by doing a simple Google search of, for example, "essential wordpress plugins" or something like that.

To learn more about WP, I'm sure the following WSOs will help:

Good luck,
